No ‘unity’ in Biden’s executive orders
New York Post ^ | February 13, 2021 | Michael Goodwin

It is early, far below the traditional threshold of 100 days. Still, watching the major missteps of the Biden administration reminds that even presidents don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.

My expectations were low, but not low enough. I hoped, naively, that with political polarization leading to growing violence from both sides, the new president would make at least minimal efforts to keep his promise of building national unity.

Instead, Joe Biden spent his first three weeks issuing more than 50 executive orders and actions that fall along straight partisan lines, with nearly all of them delivering goodies to his party’s far-left wing and/or reversing successful Trump-administration policies. In most cases, he simply signed the sweeping directives without explaining the ostensible public benefits.

As bad as the process looked, optics are not the real problem. It’s the terrible substance of the major orders that is driving a stake through the heart of national reconciliation.

The new president made killing thousands of construction jobs connected to the Keystone XL pipeline one of his first acts, practically invited illegal immigrants to swarm the border and gives cover to obstructionist teacher unions that want to keep schools closed.

The school issue goes to the heart of another Biden promise — to “follow the science” and “listen to the experts.” Yet when his CDC director said it was safe to open schools without teacher vaccinations, Biden press secretary Jen Psaki strangely said the director was “speaking in her personal capacity.”

Likely because he neither understood nor cared.

So far, almost no opposition to his massive EO’s.

When Trump issued just a couple they were met with multiple lawsuits, spent months and even years in litigation.

The supine “Republicans” appear to be indifferent to all of it. Meaning they agree.

Guess their paycheck is linked to that.

All the malcontent SOBs that have been shrieking across social media for the past 4 + years that Trump was a "tyrant" and a "dictator" - hope they're happy. They have a real one now.

“growing violence from both sides”...

I am TIRED OF READING THIS BS!

From that opening statement, I ignore the remainder of the article.

100+ days of rioting, destroying cities, attacking Federal buildings, injuring/mamming/killing people DOES NOT EQUATE to a day of mini “rioting”.

The Dems don't want unity.
They want surrender.
They will never get that.

"So far, almost no opposition to his massive EO’s."

As I've said, I don't understand how an E.O. can over-ride a Congressional law on the books regarding building the wall. It's been in place for years and never repealed. Of course, it was never funded due to Rat control of the House, until Trump worked a deal with the House to get some funding. If Biteme thinks he has control to stop Trump's DOD transfer of funds, the USSC already said Trump has the authority.

Where is HidenBiden's authority to simply stop the wall? And what about the contracts already signed for future construction?

Is this not a legitimate lawsuit by some States and the Contractors? If filed, I doubt it would have to go to the USSC. Of course, who knows what liberal/socialist Fedgov Judge would determine initially.

Yeah, both sides. As far as I can tell the left-right violence score is about 500-1 since 2016. Hundreds more to zero before that.

The goal is not reconciliation - obviously. The goal is raw exercise of power, especially including the power to destroy the opposition, e.g. by altering election rules and letting in millions of those who are likely to vote for you, to say nothing of attempting to destroy the leaders and spokespeople of the opposition, including anyone who defends them (lawyers), owns a business (Mike Lindell), or even just speaks for them (Gina Carano).

Buncombe County Sheriff Quentin Miller Sets Reverse Protocol – Newton County Will Arrest “Feds” That Violate 2nd Amendment
skyline news ^ | Feb 10, 2021 | Chad Nesbitt
Posted on 2/10/2021, 9:15:29 PM by Jet Jaguar

Staff Report – Buncombe County – 2/10/21

A number of counties within the United States have passed various Second Amendment sanctuary laws or declarations in the event there are federal laws ever passed that encroach the right to bear arms. Newton County Missouri has taken that a step further.

Newton County Commissioners just passed a law that endows the sheriff with the authority to arrest federal agents if they attempt to enforce any laws related to firearms that contradict the Second Amendment. The county also inacted a “Second Amendment Preservation Act of Newton County Missouri”.

This Act stops –
• Any form of taxes on firearms, firearm accessories, and ammunition that fall outside of the realm of being “common to all other goods and services”.
• National registries of firearms, accessories, or ammunition.
• National registries of firearm owners, confiscation of firearms, accessories, or ammunition that affect “law-abiding citizens”.
• And generally, any act past, present, or future passed by Congress and signed into federal law that infringes on the Second Amendment.
On February 26th 2019, Buncombe County Sheriff Quentin Miller declared that his Sheriff Deputies would not hold ICE detainees. Sheriff Miller barred his own deputies from assisting ICE in their endeavors to enforce federal immigration laws.

Newton County saw what Sheriff Miller and other Democrat Sheriff’s were doing throughout the United States. So they used the same direction Sheriff Miller did with a reverse mirror image. Newton County declared that any law enforcement agencies or officials operating within the confines and/or under the authority of Newton County cannot attempt to enforce any federal laws that are in contrast with the Second Amendment Preservation Act.

Newtons Commissioners basically said if liberal Sheriff’s can do it, they can to.

South Dakota Republican Bill Seeks to Nullify Biden Executive Orders It Deems Unconstitutional
Epoch Times ^ | 02/08/2021 | GQ Pan
FR Posted on 2/8/2021, 10:49:49 PM by SeekAndFind

A bill introduced in the South Dakota state legislature would grant the state’s attorney general the authority to determine whether President Joe Biden’s executive orders are constitutional and potentially nullify them at the state level.
The proposed legislation, which describes itself as an act to “authorize the review of certain executive orders issued by the President of the United States,” was sponsored by a group of 15 Republican lawmakers, including 2 state senators.
If passed as written, the bill would allow the Executive Board of the Legislative Research Council to review any executive order, which by nature requires no approval from Congress. Upon review, the Board may refer the order to the attorney general for further examination. The attorney general will then determine whether South Dakota should seek an exemption from the application of the order if deemed unconstitutional.
According to the latest version of the bill, South Dakota should be able to exempt itself from any law and order that “restricts a person’s rights” or that is determined by the attorney general to be unconstitutional if it falls into any of six specific categories. Those categories are laws related to a pandemic or other public health emergency; the regulation of natural resources; the regulation of the agricultural industry; the regulation of land use; the regulation of the financial sector through the imposition of environmental, social, or governance standards; and the regulation of the constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
The legislative effort to potentially exempt South Dakota from the president’s executive orders comes after the decision to end the $8 billion Keystone XL pipeline project, part of the Biden administration’s plan to address the “climate crisis.”

From the article: If his start accurately reflects the direction he plans to follow, Biden intends to become the most radical president in history. Sensible Americans better wake up before it’s too late.

So what can the “sensible” American do to fight against this?
