Does the national mask mandate make you feel safe?
Candidate Joe Biden's promised plan to control the COVID-19 pandemic featured everybody wearing a mask for 100 days. Former CDC Director Robert Redfield said it might take only four, six or eight weeks (up to 56 days), and later up to 12 weeks (84 days). Now we not only have an Executive Order for mask wearing on federal property and for federal employees and contractors, but the CDC has declared it a federal crime not to wear a mask on public transport or in transportation hubs.
There was no constitutional amendment or law passed by Congress to create this new crime.
Past mask mandates have not stopped the pandemic (see graphic). A CDC study of mask mandates in 10 states claimed that mandates might help, citing a 5.5% decline in the growth rate of hospitalizations. However, they stopped the study in October, just before a huge increase in cases began in those states.

It is not the mandate that's important, but the level of adherence to social distancing and masking guidelines.
The numbers of new cases were dropping daily and we were on track to eliminate Covid-19 right up until the BLM riots started and the rioters were not wearing masks or distancing.
Following that spike in new cases, many people fell for the conspiracies and stopped social distancing and started wearing masks improperly, pulled down below their noses. This caused new cases to spike even more. Since early November, new daily cases were routinely well above 100k, many times well over 200k.
I see fewer people these days who scoff at the precautions. New cases are also dropping. On five of the last six days, there were fewer than 100k new cases. The last time new case counts were this low was in the first week of November.
The increased spread of Covid-19, and now the decreasing spread of Covid-19 are reflections of human behavior. The current dropping case count also reflects the fact that people are getting vaccinated.

Just look at Western Europe, they locked down their nations only to see a reemergence of the virus by Christmas.
Dr. Fauci became knowledgeable the way any scientist becomes knowledgeable, by reading relevant literature and talking to other experts. Before he was appointed to head the NIAID, he was a principal investigator, that is, a scientist who leads a research team. Teams of experts whose sole job is to communicate with the scientific community to get the latest information report to him. The recommendations he makes and the information he provides all result from the work of thousands of scientists who are busy doing the research and learning everything possible about SARS-CoV-2 and the countermeasures against it.
He doesn’t.

The already weak mentally are going over the edge with fear, paranoia.

That and wiping down surfaces regularly are the best ways to decrease community transmission.
The mask helps in preventing transmission mainly via surfaces.
The mask fetish has become irrational and it serves as a talisman or symbol if obedience more than anything now.

1. wash wash wash hands
2. don’t touch face repeat repeat repeat
3 . keep distance if over 5 minutes with a person u don’t know.

Yeah, just look at the poor health of those who must wear masks routinely for long periods of time every day.
Oh, nevermind. They are doing just fine.
Masks do not have to be fit tested. What they have been shown to do is to decrease the virus count and the distance virus particles travel from an infected person. They also decrease the number of virus particles inhaled by a masked person.
The efficacy of masks has been shown in several recent studies, some of which measured the masks' ability to filter particles in a laboratory setting, some of which compared the spread of Covid-19 with and without masks.
When masks don't work, it's because people choose to wear them incorrectly by pulling them down below their nose or by wearing the vented masks.
Surely, you can’t be series.
Too many people decided to wear masks incorrectly, pulled down below their noses. Or they wear vented masks which are almost as useless.
People not adhering to the recommended disease control measures drove the increased transmission of Covid-19.
