Closing arguments at former President Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial were expected to get underway Saturday morning — with each side granted two hours to make their final case to the US Senate before an expected vote on the verdict later in the day.
But Day 5 started instead with House impeachment manager Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) asking to subpoena records and call a witness sparking fierce debate with Trump defense lawyer Michael van der Venn.

What is your point? At least half a million Trump supporters were in town. A crisis had just occurred, caused by a few hundred people. What was he supposed to say? Stay? It was in fact time to clear out and let the dust settle. The event had been infiltrated by provocateurs who had the potential to inflict further damage.

Trump did tell his supporters to go home at some point during that day.

He is having a hard time accepting defeat. Trump lawyers simply demolished the impeachment argument by their video exposing democrap hypocrisy about “fight like hell”.
This was info released to her by McCarthy so she would go public with it. I’d like to hear it straight from McCarthy. Call him as a witness and let him be cross-examined.
My point is as it relates to McCarthy calling the President and telling him to call off his supporters. That’s what I thought we were discussing.

Why would that out of context stammer be impeachable?
The president’s statement was correct.
The protestors shouldn’t have gone in the Capitol but they aren’t all scum of the earth to be vilified for a political act of trespassing.
They didn’t try to kill anybody or take over the government. There were thousands of them in There and I’ve never seen so much as an act of graffiti.

They will now demand witnesses, in hopes that Trump will bring witnesses to prove fraud, knowing full well that McConnell has threatened Trump if his team brings up fraud.
