Student organizers told News4Jax that the unrest began after Hatcher posted on the school’s digital discussion board about the DCPS mental health awareness campaign, “You Matter Month,” which 12th-grader Enoch criticized for pulling away attention from Black History Month and drawing a connection to the Black Lives Matter movement.
How dare anyone think about mental health during Black History Month.

Mental health used to trump everything but it fell out of favor during Masking.
Saryn Hatcher. Principal of the school in question. Race radical.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
BLM is a mental disorder.
BLM is an extremist political group with deep financial ties to a variety of far left organizations. Simply because one opposes the group's rhetoric does not make one a racist in any way, shape or form.
To say that one speaks for all members of a race is to box that race in and deny the individuals who are of that race self-determination.
To deny self-determination is to deny one of the most fundamental aspects of personhood.
To deny the personhood of a fellow human being is racism.
Just more brainwashing in our publik skools.
Pins & Needles, Needles & Pins.
The attorney general said employees across the country "have done a pretty good job in melding the races in the workplace," but he noted that "certain subjects are off limits and that to explore them risks at best embarrassment and at worst the questioning of one's character."
I’m not sure I understand this article.
Black History DOES matter. It is rich and full of great inspiration and pride in human idealism, resilience and triumph - for ALL people, not just Black people.
But the term ‘Black Lives Matter’ is just a slogan, backed by an institution that appears to be entirely against any sort of Freedom of Speech.
Here is their current ‘demands’ page. (They appear to change it all the time to keep up with the news ‘du jour’ and the current leftist bugaboo.)

I love the scent of sandalwood
I have a feeling this ain’t gonna end well
When I was growing up, American History was taught extensively. But we didn’t learn much about Black History at all, even though by Jr. High we had Black kids in our school.
Those kids never saw anything in their school studies - except the very negative - that ‘looked like them’ or reflected any of the influences that had historically led to their status in society.
I think including Black History in the curricula is useful and beneficial.
I don’t know any Armenians, though I do know a little about their history. (Do they constitute a large group in the US who have had a major and consequential impact on American history and society?)
The jellyfish should call for frank paddlings and suspensions of the miscreants.
Black History Month: Where half the black population gets angry at whites for the other half enslaving their ancestors.
They are related subjects, Enoch, and you’re Exhibit A. :)
