"It was in March actually that we saw a significant and sustained increase, nearly double of our violence in the City of Philadelphia," Beard told Philadelphia's ABC affiliate.

Unemployed, locked down and no jobs available. If there was some hope on the horizon instead of Dr. Falsey with his Doom and Gloom prediction and Pres. Bitem killing jobs, just what hope do they have?

I switched jobs during the lockdown, and was unemployed for a time.
Guess how many people I shot?

I'm guessing 4 or 5. It's hard to say without knowing how close to a shopping mall or indoor sports arena you are.

Two of the top 5 years were during the lowest Black unemployment ever. I’m sure lockdowns and unemployment don’t help, but I’m so tired of excuses for 2% of the population. (black males 14-35)

I knew race had something to do with it. I agree that gun violence can be linked to race. It really isn't a problem in the White community or the Oriental community. The "gun problem" is really a problem of other races, one in particular.

Summer of BLM did far - FAR more destruction and then you pulled the cops back and freed the violent criminals from prisons.

Who da’ thunk that a side-effect of the virus would cause innocent young people to turn into gun-wielding perps, intent on committing violence.

"Raised by single mothers."

I raised my two sons alone, and they didn't turn out to be animals. Oh wait, we're evil white people. Never mind.

I got away with it.

You got lucky. I went to a movie cinema to watch Peter Pan on the big screen and management called the cops on me to have me charged with attempted murder because I didn't clap my hands and say "I believe in fairies" in the Tinkerbell scene. A good lawyer got me off though.

You need to work on your “woke” skills.
Also, instead of clapping, you should snap instead.
