A judge has temporarily blocked Los Angeles County George Gascón's efforts to do away with certain sentencing enhancements, after his own prosecutors sued him, claiming he was ignoring the law.

The directives forbade prosecutors from seeking longer sentences for repeat offenders under the state's Three Strikes Law, as well as in several other types of cases. The Association of Deputy District Attorneys for Los Angeles County (ADDA) brought a lawsuit against him, and Judge James Chalfant granted their request for a preliminary injunction, allowing certain sentencing enhancements to continue for the duration of the case.

Is the judge a Democrat or an appointee of one? That means Gascon is even alienating liberals. He and BLM put Jackie Lacey, the first black woman to become district attorney of LA County, out of office!

I read he was “non-partisan.” That’s all I know. Do they do judicial elections by party in CA?

By his policies my magic radar has him pegged as a Democrat
or ANTIFA P.O. Box holder.

My radar has been wrong before, so take that as a warning.

I heard they are going to try and recall him also....something about ignoring the law, or not protecting victims of crimes, or forcing people to break the law...

The Democrats are openly and diligently destroying our country. How long will it be tolerated? So long as it is, the people deserve no better.

“Do they do judicial elections by party in CA?”

No. You’ve got to do a fair bit of research into past cases and decisions and sort of read the tea leaves.

If Gascon is defeated in his immigration policies, or if he disobeys the court and is found in contempt and sent to jail, we will have scored our first victory in the fight against Marxist/leftist/pro-immigration Trump-hating, Soros founded DAs.

We need a real purge here in Virginia from Soros’ paid legal whores (11 in Progressive Prosecutors of Virginia, many paid for by Soros during their campaigns).

Your radar is not wrong. Gascon is an existential threat to the life and safety of the citizenry of LA.

He was the DA in SF (I live there).

He came from Mesa PD one step ahead of being fired to SFPD chief. He was later lateraled to DA in SF. His incompetence is mind boggling.

He was caught running his own catch-n-release program. It was a 9 strikes and your out plan. An offender had to be caught at least ~ 9 times for the same crime before prosecution. It didn't count if the bad guy mixed house burglary with auto theft with drug dealing. The crime had to to be identical.

It was a campaign of anarcho-tyranny against the citizens of SF in the name of Progressivism.

Now we got Chesa Boudin. Out of the frying pan onto the fire
