Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) on Tuesday panned the arguments made by former President Trump's legal team, saying that House Democrats made a more compelling case that the impeachment proceeding is constitutional.
"I said I'd be an impartial juror. Anyone listening to those arguments — the House managers were focused. They were organized. They relied upon both precedent, the constitution and legal scholars. They made a compelling reason. President Trump's team were disorganized," he said.

No, voting for the D encourages all politicians to move left. You people really that much of a numbskull? Voting for a much more left candidate never in ANY world moves the other candidate right - ever. It simply defies logic that enters your mind. Not voting at all or voting conservative third party maybe.
When everyone realizes that NOTHING is wrong with Republicans that's the day that we'll make progress. Republicans are DOING exactly what they want to do. They ARE with the Democrats. They are the uniparty. They are good cop/bad cop to keep the masses pacified into thinking we have a voice.

in honesty, it wasn’t even my example. it was from a guy that’s obviously way smarter than me.
but a single example proves that it’s a viable path to reform. you just have to do more than pound your keyboard and hate in all directions.
Think about it this way. You go to the grocery store. You always brand x that cost $2 instead of the fancy brand y that cost $5. The store moves Brand x to $3. You respond by buying the $5 brand to stick it to the grocery store for raising the price on your brand to $3 and you somehow think the store will then lower their price back. You actually just encouraged them to raise more prices! That’s exactly what you are suggesting with politics.

Voting for “the lessor of two evils” for the past 30 years is what has gotten us into this mess.
I take accountability for my failure by doing that.
I also accept my responsibility to change my behavior going forward. I would rather vote for a sworn enemy than someone who will knife me in the back and pretend that I like it because a ‘Republican’ did it.

Voting for the opposition does not in any shape way or form move things the way you want - it simply gives them name recognition and a better fundraising vehicle at best and also makes all politicians think there are more leftists than there are. It’s pretty damned obvious to me that We The People have no voice as far as those Career Politicians are concerned. It’s also equally plain that there is no longer a functional United States Constitution or Bill of Rights.

Warnock was indeed an awful candidate. Yet still Democrats of every stripe pulled his sorry wife beating behind over the finish line. Contrast that to how the GOP colludes with progressive Democrats to defeat conservatives and MAGA agenda. Now be a good student and learn from that.
