Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) on Tuesday panned the arguments made by former President Trump's legal team, saying that House Democrats made a more compelling case that the impeachment proceeding is constitutional.
"I said I'd be an impartial juror. Anyone listening to those arguments — the House managers were focused. They were organized. They relied upon both precedent, the constitution and legal scholars. They made a compelling reason. President Trump's team were disorganized," he said.

I agree that we have to fight in the primaries, but let’s face it. Senator Cornyn will win his next primary. Just like he did the last one.
He won re-ection last fall with a 58-42 margin.
I can’t kick him out by voting against him in the primary and sitting out the general.
I can, however, vote against him BOTH times and try to get others to do the same. Once Cornyn is gone, we will have hope of putting in another like Cruz (hopefully better).
Liz Cheney is not worried because she won her primary by massive margins. People of WY need to vote against her BOTH times, too.

So, if the 6 Republicans voted no, it would have been a 50 - 50 tie. Then Harris would have walked in and made it 51 - 50 in favor of the process to continue. When the Dems rigged the Georgia election, the impeachment was part of the plan. Lucky it takes a 2/3rds majority to convict. I hope the GOP sticks together for Trump.
Next, a ruling by the Supreme Court to make it impossible to impeach a citizen who once held office.

that’s a really good point, and a good example. the people in cantor’s district made an informed primary decision, and made a positive change in their district and in the composition of the house.

For you information for the last 45+ years I have been very, very active for the GOP, I have knocked on doors, worked in local headquarters, made THOUSANDS of calls, organized rallies, donated THOUSANDS of dollars, attended monthly meetings AND 3 times we have given republicans FULL POWER only to get the middle finger by republicans SO PLEASE don’t tell me what the hell I need to do to change things!! Been there done that for 45+ years!!
but that was immediately after the disaster that was roy moore, for whom the loudest shouters in this thread were LOUDLY SHOUTING for in the primary.
