During this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) argued if Democrats were going to proceed by operating on the claim former President Donald Trump incite violence on Capitol Hill, then the standard should be applied to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Reps. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) as well.
Paul cited Schumer’s rhetoric that preceded a protest at the U.S. Supreme Court.
“I opposed the notion of — which I think was a misguided notion, a voting to overturn the election either with Congress or with the vice president,” Paul said. “But I think if we are going to criminalize speech and somehow impeach everybody who says, oh, go fight to hear your voices heard, really we ought to impeach Chuck Schumer then. He went to the Supreme Court, stood in front of the Supreme Court, and said specifically, hey Gorsuch, hey Kavanaugh, you’ve unleashed a whirlwind, and you’re going to pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you continue with these awful decisions.”
“This inflammatory wording, this violent rhetoric of Chuck Schumer was so bad that the chief justice, who rarely says anything publicly, immediately said this kind of language is dangerous as a mob tried to invade the Supreme Court,” he continued...

Schumer Actually did criminally violate the law outside of the USSC building when he threatened the judges while on the grounds. There is is a very specific law about that. It says Chuckie goes to prison. But the justice system is corrupt. And guys like Chuckie are exempt from justice.

Senator Paul taking a stand I’m happy to see. But if not for double standards, the Dems would have no standards. It’s going to be an uphill push.

Total number of police vehicles destroyed or damaged: 700+ (most of them burned)
Thousands of stores looted, hundreds burned. Hundreds of small businesses forced into bankruptcy, due to the combined effects of riots, looting & COVID lockdowns. Most of those small business owners were the very same minorities that the left pretends to care so very much about. Blacks, Latinos, Asians, Muslims from the Middle east, single moms, LGBTQs, even a few recovering addicts & alcoholics.
Total damage: roughly $8 billion.
Eight times as many dead as there were in Washington on January 6, about 20 times as much damage, affecting every major city in America and some of the smaller ones, such as Kenosha, Wisconsin ... not just one city.
Meanwhile, we were told consistently by the fawning propaganda bureaus once known as "news media" that they were Mostly Peaceful Protests™ ... that "this is what democracy looks like" ... that this is the only way that people who feel oppressed can have their voices heard.
Apparently, a few hundred people at the Capitol on January 6 were listening.
Oh, one other thing. They burned two police stations. They tried to burn the federal courthouse in Portland for 60 consecutive nights. They even stormed the fence at the White House when the President was inside, injuring 11 Secret Service agents.
So does that count as an "insurrection"? Can anyone guess how our esteemed so-called "journalists" at CNN & MSNBC would have reacted if Freepers had done the very same things in 2016?
Oh we have plenty of cops. Enforcement is... selective.
