A Pennsylvania coalition is gearing up to lobby for proposed state legislation that would allow undocumented immigrants to get a state driver’s license.

Driving PA Forward, an immigrant-led coalition, argues the license provides the basic human right of an identity and that driving is a basic need. The group is gearing up for 40 days of action starting later this month, to lobby support for the bill.
“We are talking about mothers who cannot pick up their kids because they don’t have an ID ... we’re talking about people who cannot get their prescriptions because they don’t have an ID,” Larin said. “This is a human rights crisis that needs to be addressed.”

You need to put “GOP” in quotes. However I do agree, this shouldn’t even hit the floor or make it out of committee.
I don’t give one iotta about illegals....not in the least.
I think we should support this act and give it even Stronger Protections, like:
All persons granted a privilege to operate a motor vehicle on the roads and highways, shall be the Financial Responsibility of ALL Public Employee’s in the State
“and that driving is a basic need.”
Wrong. Driving is a privilege, not a right.
This is necessary so that they can use the drivers license to register to vote.
Right now, it is difficult for illegal aliens to vote. This will give them their constitutional right to vote.

And who is responsible for the needless deaths caused by these illegal democRAT invaders? They can’t drive sober, and the many who drink will cause the number of deaths per year to go up exponentially.
Just hope the ones killed will not be your spouse, child or grandchild.
This could all have been avoided if the fraud was stopped.

Youre talking about people who do have ID...from Mexico...why dont they use those documents ???
When I go to a foreign country I use the ID from my own...
I font insist on that country giving me documents form their government...

Meanwhile if those children have been abandoned at school due to the parents crimes, somebody needs to do something ...the children must be very hungry by now...have you called the police so they know the children are still at the school and were never picked up ???
and those parents need to be picked up too...and deported...
and how did they go to a doctor to get that prescription if they didnt have ID...
Ive got a Dr appt today...I need ID to get through the door...staring right at the temperature taking table at the front door I’ll have to show my ID so they can check their records that I am on the list for an appt with a Dr in that building ...
Just whose prescription are they trying to fill ???
Did they go to the ER without ID ??? Did they steal someone else’s prescription ???
Am I the only one who asks the obvious questions ???
As if driving in PA isn’t hazardous enough now. Hey, let’s round up all the deer, put wings on their shoulders and rockets in their rears. A set of antlers hanging from my mirror, how cool is that.
a few years ago the argument was if the illegal aliens had DL they wouldnt have accidents and kill American citizens...all because of a little legal card..
Maybe if the illegal aliens didnt drink and drive they wouldnt kill someone...
Best of all though is the illegal aliens going back home to Mexico and elsewhere...
Why do they need licenses? They’re here illegally, why would they care if they are driving illegally?
Do things the easy way,,,,,Pa. should do away with drivers licenses completely, then every body would be legal to drive in PA. without a license, Save money too by getting rid of thousands of employees in the motor vehicle department they could go to work making solar panels like Horseface Kerry suggested for oil workers.

..its already happening in the Peoples’ Democrratic Republic of Virginia if I am not mistaken....”undocumented residents” can get driving permits, I believe, already....what a disgrace....
