Video at link.
Zubin Damania, MD. "I’m a UCSF/Stanford trained internist and founder of Turntable Health, an innovative primary care clinic and model for Health 3.0. During a decade-long hospitalist career at Stanford, I experienced our dysfunctional health care system firsthand. As a way to address my own “burnout” and find a voice, I started producing videos and live shows under the pseudonym “ZDoggMD” that have since gone epidemically viral."
Video is 12 minutes long.
Some assumed that Flu numbers were just frraudulently rolled into Covid numbers. But that may not be the case.
Apparently this is not the first time that one viral epidemic has suppressed another viral epidemic.
And Interferon response may play a large roll in that.
In this video, Dr. Damania explains viral interference. And he raises some really interesting questions about whether this can be used to head off future epidemics, and implications for current and future vaccines.

I can tell you that we check for Flu on lots of patients who are having symptoms and none of the tests is positive. Just not seeing it this year.
And that my friends is why there was no cancer, there were no
heart attacks, there were no liver failures, there were no...
Deaths last year were barely elevated above the numbers for
2019.
Everything was absorbed into COVID-19 like light into a
black hole.
Two things going on.
You have to understand that the CV19 didn’t begin in March 2020. It had to be around sometime in 2019.
Flu and CV19 symptoms are very similar and we very rarely tested for the flu, the symptoms were enough for a diagnosis.
1. It is very possible that what illnesses we thought were the flu in 2019 were in fact CV19.
2. We know that there was pressure to inflate CV19 numbers which would depress the flu numbers in 2020.
I want my old flu back and not this Chinese import. It’s important that American flus not be replaced by illegal alien flus that have no right to be here. Go to your doctor and write your CongressCriiter and tell them you want the old fashioned American flu and to keep these intruders out.
This is incorrect. Deaths from all other causes were at or slightly above normal levels in 2020:

"Deaths last year were barely elevated above the numbers for 2019."
This is also incorrect. Deaths in 2020 were 17% higher than 2019. Normal year-over-year increases are 0.3%-0.7%.
That's an over 470,000 death difference year over year. Eventually this myth of no new deaths will end and we can move on to holding Newsom, Cuomo, and the rest of the people responsible for unnecessary deaths during this pandemic accountable.
I’ve seen at least ten presentations like this, and strangely
yours is the first I’ve seen that came up with your results,
or anything even in the same ball park.
Thanks for your attempt anyway.
Gee, and I posted that opinion 4 days ago and got called an ignorant fool.
If you have data from authoritative sources to back your argument, or even to challenge what I’ve posted here, please feel free to post it. Otherwise, you’re posting unsupported opinions in the face of verifiable facts.
Posting factual information that doesn’t align with someone’s personal narrative will get you called all sorts of names, sadly.
This is the problem with people abandoning the search for truth and choosing instead to adopt nonsense as dogma: they can’t take having that dogma challenged and become desperately defensive.
LOL, so does Fauci.
Unfortunately, some FReepers believe that COVID-19 is just the flu, bro.
Please point out anyone on this thread who was as desperate
as you to have people believe them.
Did anyone call you names here?
That’s true, but Fauci never misses a chance to sing and dance for a television camera, even if most of what he says is utter nonsense. It doesn’t mean the rest of us should act like him. We should endeavor to find the truth, supported by verifiable facts, and share those with others so they too can better understand the world around them.
I have read report after report stating different conclusions
than you have just presented.
In light of that, what do you expect me to do?
Should I just say, “Oh okay. Everyone was lying but the people
who put this information out. My bad.”
I don’t think that would be very rational, despite the angle
you are trying to take on it.
It gets to the point that people can present the truth and
it’s no more believable than any other report.
I can’t help that.
Flu disappeared because it all got relabeled as coronavirus. Plain old flu has no political benefits. As COVID it cements totalitarian control in place.
Why should anyone questioning your facts have to provide a separate source? “Everybody knows...” is all that’s needed. It works at DU.
On this we can agree. And it's all too sad. When people don't have good information in front of them, they're unable to make informed decisions about what's best for themselves and their families. This is why I detest when anyone (mostly the media) spreads misinformation and fearmongering. Just speaking generally here; not directed at you.
