BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The United States and its Western allies are increasingly concerned about growing cooperation between Russia and China in areas of common interest, NATO's top general said on Wednesday.
The Pentagon has put countering China and Russia at the centre of its strategy since 2018, even though U.S. defence spending outstrips that of Moscow and Beijing.
In 2018, China and Russia held their largest-ever joint military exercises, featuring 300,000 Russian troops.

No they’re not.
Only insofar as our uniparty doesn’t have first seat at the table.
Spend 12 years blaming them for everything, attacking their allies, try to unleash our homosexuality on their nation, trash the Sochi Olympics, try to push NATO right up to their border, wave away every act of cooperation, try to launch color revolutions against them, claim they stole the 2016 election and then, ... act amazed when they decide we have a screw loose and look around and decide China might want to buy some oil and minerals and that they maybe should cooperate.
We are lead by blithering neocon idiots.
And remember, we are the number one nuclear superpower qualitatively. Nothing else is close. The Russians have more bombs, but we are better overall. And we have started acting insane, and THEY SAW the overthrow of the US government.
That is destabilizing as hell and they are probably shoring up anyone they can rally with.
If you saw your cop neighbor truly losing his marbles and
becoming a menace, wouldn’t you rally the other neighbors to figure out how to address it?
Yep. And address it when least expected. The sooner the better, neighbors would be sayin’...
That’s been going on for a long time.

How do you think why China is in Central Asia?
Why should we believe anything these “leaders” have to say?
It’s an old Australian Special Broadcasting Service article. Don’t know where they moved it to.

The schizo uniparty is more interested in developing global warming safe spaces at the Pentagon and NFL schizo cult for blacks at the CIA than realpolitiks.
I am not sure China and Russia are so much allied as America has become so stupid it has become wounded “road kill” ready to be devoured at first opportunity by any pack of scavengers like a China and Russia together.
So be it, people are in denial.
The ‘ties’ have been ongoing for a decade plus, ye they are NOW concerned? Like WTFGTFO!
Ping
This is nothing new and it’s a bit amusing to hear these guys pretend to be concerned about it as if it were something new given how long it’s been building up.
BTW, China simply took advantage of the opportunity that the USA largely created after the fall of the USSR.* It didn’t have to be this way. But as with everything else involving China, it’s now at a stage where it’s a very hard problem to fix.
*Note that I didn’t say unintentionally created. If you really want to go down the rabbit hole, look into the connections of some of the people involved and consider why they may have wanted this outcome. But you don’t have to agree with me on that to accept the reality that the US played a significant role in this current unfortunate state of affairs.
What can Putin do? He’s got a 3,000 mile border with China. That’s a bad situation. Doubtful he has any love for China and he’s not a globalist. He’s just trying to get along.
Recall, Bill Clinton's treasonous ChinaGate scandal began in late 1996...

"The two sides [China and Russia] shall, in the spirit of partnership, strive to promote the multipolarization of the world and the establishment of a new international order."
