OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canada on Wednesday became the first country to call the far-right Proud Boys a terrorist entity, saying the group played a key role in the attack on the U.S. Capitol last month and openly supported violent activities.

Note that as a designated terrorist organization, Canada will now be using it's intelligence infrastructure to monitor the activities and members of the Proud Boys.
Also note, that being part of "Five Eyes", Canada will be dutifully sharing that information with the US...

That will get the Canadian government off their backs immediately. In fact, it will turn the "Proud Boys" from a terrorist organization to a group of aboriginal advocates.

As far as I know (correct me if I’m wrong) the violence of the Proud Boys has pretty much been limited to fights with BLM/Antifa types, usually when one of these groups is counter-protesting the other. I’m not aware of the Proud Boys independently engaging in violence, rioting, looting, or property damage, although I vaguely remember there might have been ONE such incident in New York.
Almost anything is the far right when you’re so far to the left that nothing remains of the old extreme left that’s extreme to you anymore.
