Good for you! We also cancelled our Costco account. We decided we could survive just fine without them, just like we did before Costco existed.
I worked there - it was quite the company full of a lot of really smart people. My son in law used their site to sell items when he was between jobs.
Obviously I don’t approve of deplatforming Parler - however my understanding is that Parler was a data collection site which is why some of their investors were backing it. I refused to give them my info during the time I was there. The Conservative Treehouse got deplatformed and they transitioned - not sure why Parler couldn’t.

As for the retail businesses - you could make the same complaint about Home Depot, etc. Unfortunately that’s life.

My understanding is the ‘reason’ they deplatformed Parler is because people were threatening ‘violence’.
I do believe the reason they shut Parler down is the quiet the right. They shut Trump up just days before, no facebook, no twitter, probably figured he’d go to Parler. They needed to put a stop to it.
