My understanding is the ‘reason’ they deplatformed Parler is because people were threatening ‘violence’.
I do believe the reason they shut Parler down is the quiet the right. They shut Trump up just days before, no facebook, no twitter, probably figured he’d go to Parler. They needed to put a stop to it.
The “violence” excuse is obvious crap since lots of people saw horrible things on Twitter.
I don’t think Parler should have been shut down, whether I liked it or not (I didn’t) but why didn’t they have a workaround?
If POTUS went to GAB it would further explode. I liked the format better there than Parler.
Personally other than FR and The Conservative Treehouse I’m pretty much focusing on everything I let slip while I was obsessed with getting DJT re-elected. No Twitter, no FB, etc.
