Time for a feel-good story of the day!
If you're inclined, maybe get a nice card for Velma and surprise her (she didn't ask for cards). I'm sure a nice card from FReepers would put a sparkle in her day. You can write to her at:

God Bless you Velma, that’s a name you don’t hear too often these days.

She said it left her weary and affected her sense of smell for several days [...]At age 104, she still had a sense of smell to lose?!
It's as though she had complained, "Aside from no longer being able to perform cartwheels, I'm now back to normal."
Regards,

My 76-year old neighbor beat it. No vaccines crap. Told us it was for faggots. “If I die, I die”..
Guess what? He didn’t and just slept it off for 3 days. He even wrote his will to his family just in case. This was back in April at the height of the lockdowns, and the county hospital sent him an email (?) apologizing for not giving him a bed.

My friend's 97yr old mother just recently recovered from the virus.
BTW, in case you don't remember, Hayden Lake Idaho was (is?) a skin head hangout.

My 95 year old neighbor had it and beat it. She’s a real hoot.
