It doesn’t take Nostradamus or Carnac to figure out how the next two years will play out for Wyoming’s lone Congressional representative Liz Cheney. It simply takes a little observation of -- and interaction with -- the Swamp. As an outside the beltway sometimes political operative and consultant, I’ve had the unhappiness of working with swamp creatures off and on since the 90s

Liz’s future is easier for me to predict than yesterday’s weather. The broad strokes are a fait accompli. I’ve seen it many times. And while it may seem at first glance that her political career is at a dead end, it is far from it. Liz will be rich very soon, if she is not already. And she will do as much damage to the Trump/MAGA/Republican brand as she can in the process. This is how the swamp works.

Now, regardless of whether this scenario can flip Cheney’s current House Seat blue or not, Liz will be rewarded for her efforts by different branches of Swamp, Inc. First, you can count on a huge lobbying contracts right out of the gate. Maybe several. Seven figures, easy.

I suspect things are going to be a little different from this point forward. One of the things that's driving these Beltway hacks nuts these days is that voters aren't being conned as easily as they once were -- which means lobbying isn't as meaningful or effective as it used to be.

Look at what is unfolding with this GameStop phenomenon -- where major Wall Street players are being bankrupted by small-time speculators who are driving up the prices of these shorted stocks because they don't care about losing money while they wreck the whole game.

She is already rich or at least her daddy is. Dick Cheney made a lot of money as CEO o Halliburton mostly through generaous stock options he awarded himself through his buddies on the borad of directors.
but yes, she will make even more money as a membr of the Bush league Lincoln Project or some other deranged outfit, which is all irrelevant. She is finished in the Republican Party. Nobody really cares what she has to say anymore.

I'm not sure what kind of machines WY uses, but you may be correct. The swamp will rig the election, or else they'll dredge up fifteen yahoos in her district to run in the primaries and dilute the vote. (Because there is already a challenger who is running well ahead of her.)

Cheney is more powerful than two Senators. She holds the lone Wyoming House seat and represents more Wyoming residents than either of them.

She won't. Her challenger who just emerged is already running well ahead of her in the polls. That is pretty serious situation for the third ranking GOP leader in the House.
This reminds me of how AOC came from nowhere and beat the third ranking Democrat in the House in 2018.

Liz will be rewarded by different branches of Swamp, Inc. ......huge lobbying contracts right out of the gate. Seven figures, easy.......no telling what kind of awful legislation she will help engineer in that job. The take for the evil people and evil causes will probably be in the billions. That’s why she’s going to be paid millions......and end up as a regular paid contributor on MSNBC or CNN. This gig will require a few hours per month, and probably pay mid-six figures. She’ll never return to Wyoming......

Plus she'll take it all off for Playboy.
