Secession.

Stay connected to these in any way and they will drag the rest of us down with them.

Would anyone with any sense allow a common criminal to stay within their home without implications? One with any sense would get that criminal out and away from themselves.

Only a fool would make it a law to require something that doesn’t exist. There is simply not enough electricity available to replace fossil fuel energy either now, or in the foreseeable future. Even if enough could actually be generated and stored, there is not an adequate distribution system to deliver it to where it would be needed.

Of course, de Blasio is such a fool.

Sounds to me that Kaiser Wilhelm Deblasio knows that a bankrupt city can’t afford the costs of repairing and upgrading old gas mains. Can’t say that publicly without adversely impacting bond ratings.

Awesome. Let those putrid NY voters live by the rules they want to impose on everyone else.

Maybe he can dam-up the Hudson and generate hydro-electric power.

We are hooked up to NG and have a fireplace and stove that work, even when the electricity goes out (which it does with increasing frequency these days)

My sister has a “heat pump” which means her house never really heats up enough in colder weather. I just pushed my thermostat up to 74 — it’s been bitter cold and sleeting/snowing since yesterday and I don’t handle being chilly very well.

Prepare to freeze in the dark, as you watch the windmills turning lazily in the breeze.

Let’s forcefully encourage more NYCers to leave.

The smart ones saw what was coming and left years ago.

So this is how they plan to turn republican states blue. New Yorkers will flee even faster and start voting for this same garbage in Texas and Florida.

When enough people leave NYC there will be no need for any new buildings and his edict will become moot.

“literally ensuring that our only choice is renewable energy,”

If it’s your only ‘choice’, then it’s not really a choice, is it?

So too many old people survived Covid despite his efforts and now he wants those that remain to freeze to death.

electricity instead of gas for cooking,

Oh restaurants are just gonna love that. There is a reason they use gas for cooking. But it’s o.k., I forgot there will be no more restaurants due to lockdowns, and the astronomical increase in food prices because of Biden’s energy policies.

Just before sunset I rode past the Gaithersburg MD NIST campus.

All these panels plus another field of pproximately the same size have been covered with snow and ice from Sunday night to thursday. Some major melting happened this afternoon but all still coated with thin layer of ice.

Two years ago they had:

"...The nearly 15,000 panels cover the equivalent of 11 football fields and are expected to produce more than 8 million kilowatt-hours of energy in the first year, accounting for about 4 percent of the campus’s energy consumption."

It's now more than doubled. No mega watts this week.
