Democrat Rep. Stephen Lynch has tested positive to COVID-19 after receiving both shots of the Pfizer vaccine.
The 65-year-old Congressman - who represents Massachusetts' 8th Congressional district - tested positive for the virus on Friday afternoon, his spokeswoman told CNN.
Lynch attended President Joe Biden's inauguration last Wednesday, but returned a negative test before that event.
Lynch received his second dose of the Pfzier COVID-19 vaccine prior to the inauguration, but the spokesperson did not disclose the exact date he had the shot.
Pfizer's vaccine does not necessarily prevent COVID-19 infection, but is said to be 95 percent effective in stopping the serious symptoms that are caused by the coronavirus.

He is in the window period where immunity is developing. Additionally while it is 95% effective of preventing disease, it is likely absolutely effective at preventing progression to critical disease.
immunity is not immediate
So you dont end up in the hospital in the ICU where they frequently cant help you and you end up dead.
A recently released (last day or so) publication demonstrates same level of effective for Pfizer against all variants, including South African and British.

He is in the window period where immunity is developing.
How many days after each injection does that window period of immunity develop/expand?
Being vaccinated does not mean a person exposed to the virus will not test positive via PCR test.
Vaccines do not stop viruses from going in to the body.
It stops the virus from being able to infect cells and cause the disease and ability to transmit the disease due to immune neutralization of the virus.
But it does not keep the virus from entering the body normally and if present will confer a positive PCR test while being unable to cause disease or transmit disease.
That said, this could also be false positive.

The virus will mutate to try to escape the vaccine. Thus, the reason the CEO of Pfizer is saying one day these vaccines may not work
saw a sad story the other day of three black family members who were helping the community get vaccines (not sure if all three members) and deal with covid but they wouldnt take the shots. Now those three are dead from Covid
Maybe because the vax causes you to produce spike proteins via mRNA, then the test recognized the proteins.
Maybe he shoul figure out how Trump beat it without the vax?
Over 99% never end up in the ICU. I know an 85 year old who just had covid. He never went to the hospital.
It’s called antibodies after getting it! Remember small pox parties. They can’t figure out the yearly Flu vaccine to a 50% effectiveness, and they have had 30+ years to do it.
Now with a new virus, they have it... Better yet it has aborted fetal cells and is genetically altering. Step right up.
