Amid a boycott in response to its politically motivated decision to drop Mike Lindell’s MyPillow products, shares of Bed Bath & Beyond plunged 36.4% at the close of trading Thursday. The retail chain suffered its biggest one-day loss since going public in June 1992.
Article by Art Moore originally published at WND.
The consumer organization Media Action Network launched the boycott of Bed, Bath & Beyond after the retail chain stopped selling Lindell’s products due to his support of President Trump’s claim that fraud affected the outcome of the 2020 election. Retailers Wayfair and Kohl’s also have stopped selling MyPillow products.
Lindell, famous for his TV ads, employs more than 1,500 people at his Minnesota plant. He recounted to WND last May the remarkable transformation in his life through his faith in Jesus Christ.
“This isn’t about pillows. It’s about the continual punishment of conservative speech,” Media Action Network founder Ken LaCorte said in an announcement of the boycott.
“And we’ve had enough.”
Media Action Network has a petition online in support of the boycott with nearly 24,000 signatures so far.
“Every time we turn around, another conservative has been silenced under false pretenses of ‘hate’ or ‘isms’ or the most recent offense-de-jour,” said LaCorte. “We’re fighting back.”
Protesters at Bed, Bath & Beyond’s store in Larkspur, California, on Tuesday left checkers with a $20 tip and a statement for CEO Mark Tritton.
“Stop promoting ‘cancel,” they wrote. “You buckled to pressure, removing MyPillow products … because of Mike Lindell’s politics. It’s un-American.
“Our country was founded on the principle of free speech and open debate,” the wrote. “These days, censorship and suppression are far too common, and you’re now part of the problem. You have that right, of course, but realize you’re antagonizing half of your customers. And Mark … we’ve had enough. We’re tired of corporate big-shots looking down on our beliefs. Reverse this decision now and get out of politics, or we’re done with you forever.”
Cute story. Has nothing to do with My Pillow. BBBY is caught up in the GameStop swirl. The big guys are shorting it, and the Reddit retards (what they call themselves) are trying to squeeze the hedge funds. And its up 13% today.
Don't need new pillows but put in a mail order anyway.
I wonder how MyPillow’s on-line sales have been lately?
I ordered from them recently, it took them a while to get it shipped. I hope they’re swamped with orders!
I was happy to see they are using non-union FedEx rather than Teamsters UPS.
That’s ok. BB&B was on the verge of bankruptcy last year. Maybe the boycott will push them over the edge.
So you must believe that Biden won the election fair and square, huh?
Or is it that you don’t agree with his soteriological views on religion?
The, “My Pillow guy” turned his business into a mask making operation at the beginning of the plandemic and he is still hated by the uniparty for backing Trump.
That day the bottom dropped out of BBB equities.
Get your Put-Margin calls in order asap, before the sinking stops!
Seems like you could make a fortune shorting stocks of corp who go woke
Loceit!!!
In before the mealy-mouthed “we don’t DO that!” crowd of cowards.
“I wonder how MyPillow’s on-line sales have been lately?

I ordered a pillow last Tuesday, it shipped this Wednesday, should be delivered today.
I think they are really busy.
Get woke, go... well you know the rest.
Ours, too. The store was a train wreck. Impossible to navigate the narrow aisles because they tried to fit 25 lbs. of stuff in a 5 lb. bag. Pandemonium reigned.
These days, it’s Bed, Bath, and Be Gone.
RE: Every conservative who needs a new pillow should order a MyPillow now.
Why go to retailers like BBB? Just buy direct from MyPillow.com
Mike is good for America. He was approached by Chinese businessmen for manufacturing opportunities there. He declined because he wanted them MADE IN AMERICA.
You don’t suppose that BB&B’s announcement that they are closing all of their US-based retail stores could have had an effect?
Conservatives need to start using our financial clout to support our friends and oppose our enemies. We may not be oligarchs but in numbers when we organize we can buy and sell the oligarchs and others.
In general and in growing numbers “Big Global Business” has been institutionalized as an ally and fascist threat to freedom by the left. We need to break that relationship and remind them their only role is to sell us what we need, and not ever to promote politics, especially leftist fascism.
Great. We have to keep the pressure on. Kohl’s is another one. We have the power to “Fox News” them all.
Like the people of Baghdad, they are caught between Iraq and a hard place.
If they don't support the cancel culture, they will suffer lawsuits, organized protests, and in some cases Antifa/BLM-sponsored physical damage to their stores.
If they support the cancel culture, they will suffer the loss of business from the 75 million deplorables.
Those who give in to the cancel culture are either making a quick decision with long-term consequences, or are betting that they can make it through the boycotts and will be better off avoiding the lawsuits, protestors, and riots.
I went to BBB regularly to buy big boxes of Keurig coffee. No more.
