Trump adviser says former president will be ‘actively involved’ in GOP politics, not interested in third party

Lewandowski says Trump ‘will be involved’ in 2022 GOP primary challenges and recruiting candidates.

A longtime adviser to Donald Trump says the former president will be "actively involved" in Republican Party politics going forward. And that includes supporting primary challenges against those that have crossed Trump.

"The president continues to have enormous support and approval among Republican primary voters. He continues to have hundreds of millions of dollars in his campaign account, which he can utilize. And he will continue to be actively involved in recruiting candidates and holding elected officials accountable for their votes," Corey Lewandowski told Fox News on Thursday.

RNC CHAIR MCDANIEL SAYS TRUMP WON’T START THIRD PARTY

Lewandowski, who managed Trump’s 2016 presidential primary campaign and served as a top adviser on the 2020 reelection effort, also shot down suggestions that the former president would form a splinter party, saying "I don’t think the president has any interest in being part of a third party."

Good. I hope Lewaandowski is right. McDaniel is saying the same think.

I know that many here wanted the 3rd party but I believe Trump would be marginalizing himself if he did.

It’s like occupying a city, you don’t lay a new sewer system right away.

I just hope he’s not on a Sen. Ivanka in 2022 and Pres. Ivanka in 2024 kick.

China frowns on nepotism. Either you are faithful to the party or you’re out. Doesn’t matter if gramps fought with Mao, it’s all party fealty and purity in the middle kingdom.

I suspect the third party ploy may have been used as leverage against the GOP-e. Impeach me, implied Trump through his leaks about a new party, and I take my voters, without which you cannot win, even in places like Oklahoma or Wyoming. Note that McConnell and McCarthy stepped back from their previous attacks on Trump.

A deal was made, I guess. Without clean elections what good is it, either way?

With rampant voter fraud being sanctioned by both parties, there is no Republican Party. After 35 years, I changed my affiliation to “no party,” and won’t be voting anytime soon. I live in New York State anyway, so I’m already f’d. I live in the 22nd Congressional District, whose November 3rd election is being decided by a Democrat Judge in a courtroom. Am I eager to vote again? Hell no!

Well, the party is composed of different divisions, or segments, like the RINO division, the conservative division, and a couple others, so, a "Patriot" division is not out of the question.

But, it's too early for Trump to be making moves and pissing off members of the GOP. The "new" Patriot Party is a possibility, even if Trump doesn't jump onboard immediately. So, we'll have to be patient.

Why is it one or the other? One does not exclude the other. Both could be on the table.

Trump wins in a landslide WITHOUT the help of the Never Trumpers, Country-Clubbers of the Republican Establishment.

The fake news media and the CCP-run demoncraps make it look like he lost when he actually won.

After Trump leaves for Florida all the people listed in the first sentence begin to come out of hiding.

It seems to me that we really don't need to form a new party, we just get rid of those thousand or so people who proved themselves to be utter and complete @$$e$.

What he has just done, is rescue the party that sold him out
for four years.

The party was on the ropes. Without Trump it was done.

Trump will help get Republicans elected, but all it will
accomplish is strengthen the party that is wobbling up
the street right now, ready to fall over any moment.

If we gain the House, we can block. We will have no chance
of regaining the Senate.

Instead of having a party we could trust if he started a
new one, we’ll be left with the same old party led by the
RNC / GOPe.

This last week they have been watching as we have been
described as domestic terrorists.

Did any of us hear of a high up party muck-muck pushing
back on that?

Why no. McConnell was talking in terms that echoed what
the Democrats were calling us.

This is the party of the Chamber of Commerce, open borders,
comity with the Left, compromising with people who never
comprise and telling ourselves we’re winning. Yeah, sure
we are and our nation isn’t stuck on a shoal with each
new wave cracking the bottom open more.

Maybe I’m getting too old folks. Maybe it would be better
if I was still wet behind the ears and hadn’t followed the
RP for 50 years.

Maybe it would be best if I hadn’t watched the party chide
Reagan in much the same way they did Trump over the last
four years.

Maybe it would be best if I couldn’t recognize right now
what the party has pulled so many times before. This isn’t
about winning the Congress for Conservatism.

Don’t look at the RNC / GOPe’s other hand. Watch the one
misleading you into thinking Conservatism is on a roll now.

If you did look at the other hand you’d see it signing deals
with Democrats, and its owner winking when they call us
domestic terrorists.

And get used to the idea this same party will outlive us all,
and will still be doing what it did over the last four years
on into the future.

In thirty years, someone like me will try to tell folks again,
and they will reject him too. Why it would be a terribly
bad thing to splinter off with people we can trust

No just stick with what we’ve been doing.

“It’s workin for us...”

Mix up a soup and cook it in a dirty pan, you give everyone the runs. Wash and sterilize the cooking and eating implements and the body stays healthy.

I think it’s time for a #WalkAway2 movement. Walk away from the Dems and the Pubs.

Get the entire country to turn its back on D.C.
