Trump wants to help GOP win in 2022, McCarthy says after Mar-a-Lago meeting
New York Post ^ | January 28, 2021 | Steven Nelson

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy says former President Donald Trump on Thursday committed to helping Republicans retake Congress in 2022.

Trump met with McCarthy (R-Calif.) at his Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida — where Trump moved after leaving the White House on Jan. 20.

“Today, President Trump committed to helping elect Republicans in the House and Senate in 2022. A Republican majority will listen to our fellow Americans and solve the challenges facing our nation. Democrats, on the other hand, have only put forward an agenda that divides us — such as impeaching a President who is now a private citizen and destroying blue-collar energy jobs. For the sake of our country, the radical Democrat agenda must be stopped,” McCarthy said in a statement.

One more 2017/2018 on deck.

Oh joy...

In 2014 the Republican Party was telling us all that they
would do if only we would give them the majority in 2017.

Well, did they do those things?

Theeeeeey’re baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

There was a picture of President Trump and McCarthy standing next to each other.

McCarthy looked like he was doing one of those Freemason signs again. This time it was the way his feet were positioned.

President Trump should get out on the campaign trail for every close GOP seat, and then some long shots. And when they capture the majority the Republicans need to make HIM speaker. Think of that, Donald Trump replacing Nancy Pelosi as the leader and voice of the opposition for two years until he can run for President again.

They should be more concerned with the Senate. Twenty-three Republicans must defend their seats in 2022. With all the Democrat cheating, it will be very hard to limit the damage.

Jonty, don’t tell me you think Trump is going to change the
party forever after failing to be able to do it for the last
four years from the oval office?

If your friends see you get charged falsely, don’t they
speak up? Don’t they defend you? If they see you get
cheated, don’t they come to your aid?

If they didn’t, what would that tell you?

Let me introduce you to the real Republican Party.

They ARE NOT your or our friends.

They are not Trump’s friends. They will lie to get anything
they want. Then they’ll govern as they did in 2017 and 2018.

Cool story. But as long as Cheney, McConnell, Graham, Rubio, Romney, McCarthy, Cornyn and that crowd is the leadership and direction setters... I have no use for the GOP.

Dumping Cheney who voted for impeachment is the first step.
And there are about 30 or 40 steps.

Republican majority will listen to our fellow Americans and solve the challenges facing our nation.
No rational person believes this.

If every Republican was guaranteed a primary for being faithless, it would help clean things up. Nobody wants to spend millions of dollars defending their seat for being without principles.

The repubs betrayed the base and now they’re getting an inkling how angry we are after the party abandoned Trump.

Not sure Trump can save them from themselves this time

McCarthy needs to disavow PRyno, Pierre Delecto and his own NeverTrumpism of the last few weeks.

Yes! Exactly!

They need Trump to dissipate the animosity directed at the
party right now.

If he does that, it will put them in a better position to
survive the crushing results of their actions.

We either capitalize and regroup outside the party, or they
will move on into the future with absolutely no hope of
getting things back on track.

Without meaning to, Trump will be defeating all of us, by
helping the RNC/GOPe recover.

That’s what he’ll be doing, instead of rebuilding the party.

He will be doing these wicked people a favor.

Trump should check his back.

I don’t believe there will be another national or even state level GOP victory again. If I heard things correctly the first house bill Pelosi has ready to go to the senate codifies the election process nationally which will allow for mail in ballots, vote harvesting and drop box collection sites, also it removes the minimum requirements for voter ID. So until the GOP gears up to out cheat the demon party voting security will be non-existent and the GOP will be replaced in governorships and state and federal legislatures. And the judiciary will be worthless in stopping it.

I wish I was wrong but I don’t see a future for this country as a representative republic with fair elections, I believe we are now a banana republic.

Elections are conducted by the States.......Pelosi can wish all she wants but the Feds have no authority on how to tell the States to conduct their elections.
