House GOP Conference Chairwoman Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) has seen her political support completely collapse in Wyoming as solid majorities of both Republicans and all voters in the state want her out of office, a new poll shows.
What’s more, Cheney has fallen behind her primary challenger by more than double digits, a sharp turn in just weeks against the one-time rising star since she voted to impeach former President Donald Trump.
The poll, conducted by Trump’s team and first reported by Politico, shows 73 percent of Republicans in ruby red Wyoming view her unfavorably—while 62 percent of all voters in the state similarly view her unfavorably.
Only 10 percent of GOP voters, and 13 percent of all voters, say they would vote to reelect her, and she trails by more than 30 points—54 percent to 21 percent—against state Sen. Anthony Bouchard, who has announced a campaign against her since her impeachment vote.
The survey of 500 likely voters was conducted by Trump’s pollster John McLaughlin from Jan. 25 to Jan. 26, as revealed in a memo that McLaughlin wrote to Trump adviser Jason Miller.
“Liz Cheney’s decision to vote to impeach President Trump makes her extremely vulnerable,” McLaughlin wrote. “It is evident her ratings are in bad shape among general election voters and have collapsed among Republicans and Trump voters.”
Cheney has seen her fortunes crash not just in Wyoming—where at least one fellow U.S. House Republican, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), traveled to campaign against her—but in the U.S. House GOP conference as well.

Elizabeth Cheney has done exactly the same thing......the stupid and foolish uninformed woman that she is. And that is also a ditto for GOP, Toomey, Collins, Murkowski, Sasse & Romney!!! I don’t think enough people appreciate what a gift that vote was for the people she purports to represent in congress. She could have sat on her hands and kept on stabbing other republicans in the back when they don’t tow the mainstream line or look the other way when the graft is approved by leadership. She could keep doing it for years, taking over a senate seat and rising to leadership there as well.
If only she would have done it sooner. May all of their masks slip off and stay off.

Good one. In Liz’s case, the Wyoming voters will compassionately provide her with a well deserved exit.
It’s hard to believe that the millions of parents nationwide who have daughters in high school sports aren’t enraged by Biden’s EO that basically ended girls sports.
I see a sleeping giant of parents awakened in CA by shutdowns—especially parents of teen athletes (still prevented from playing their sports as of today). No proms, no graduations, no sports, no school, no music or dance or drama, nothing for their kids.
Today those parents got Santa Clara county to reverse a particularly bad sports-related decision. Those parents were flat out furious. Liberals who have been mugged.
I think this Liz Cheney situation is further proof that President Trump won the entire country in a landslide.
She won her race in 2020 at 68.6%.
My calculation [based on Perot numbers] is that 25-30% of the entire voting base is small government conservatives, who've mostly been voting lesser of two evils since 1992 [remember Gingrich 1994?].
Based on that, I figured that a Repukelickinweasel politician who had over 60% in his/her race was fairly safe from retribution.
Reaching up to be able to take out 68-69%ers should start blowing the hair back on some of these GOPee weasels...

Since Nancy Pelosi is Speaker of the House, only bills that she approves of will be sent to the floor. Liz Cheney’s chance to author a bill that will be voted by the full House is zero. I’m not sure what Liz Cheney can say about her accomplishments for 2021 and 2022 will convince Wyoming Republican primary voters to reelect her. Unless the Democrats sabotage the Republican primary by voting for her, she won’t be reelected.
Poor baby. She’ll have to fall back on the illicit profits her daddy made from Halliburton.
