and Latin people are about 13%.
I suspect the Latin porting went up a massive amount in the last decade.
Policies were framed to usher that in.
Asian population grew faster I believe.
Look at the age cohorts. White people are a much smaller fraction of the young, and that’s what matters going forward.
Too scared of the future, too scared of conflict, too guilty, too wedded to consumerism: why aren’t whites having enough babies? Too many people on the left and the right saying they won’t bring children into this world. And yet we were born to die, and we send our children into this world as soldiers, to fight what battles they must. Life was never easy or safe.
I don’t think those percentages really matter.
What matters is that the, say, 20% of old ‘60s and ‘70s “activists” and “hippies who joined the mainstream” — including some very rich would-be oligarchs — aided and abetted by their Prozac’d, Adderalled and Ritalin’d kids and grandkids STOLE this election, in tandem with some fellow travelers overseas.
What this amounts to is a bunch of our own spoiled, entitled, now-gray-haired “activists” from 50 years ago trying to wrest control of the country before they die off, and incidentally trying to prove to their long-dead parents that they were “right” after all.
Blacks and Hispanics were warming to Trump in unprecedented numbers, which a count of the “real” vote would undoubtedly show.
In short, I think what pretty much is happening here is the now-rich and well-connected Che-and-Castro-worshipping “old Commies” of the Vietnam era are making their last stand.
The majority of Hispanics self identify as “white”.
Latinos were 16% by 2010 (according to the government census); they displaced blacks as the preferred minority years ago.
You’re right that policies were ushered in to make that happen (to replace an unassimilated, unproductive permanent underclass with one with a better work ethic and less of a racial chip on its shoulder), but whites enable this when they won’t breed.
