A dentist and lawyer known for her past promotion of the "birther" conspiracy theory regarding former President Barack Obama has sued Vice President Kamala Harris and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to halt former President Donald Trump's impeachment.
Orly Taitz is suing to prevent the Senate from holding a second Trump impeachment trial more than a decade after she first made headlines for launching legal complaints in support of misinformation claiming that Obama was not born in the U.S., a bogus claim that Trump promoted for several years before becoming president.
The new lawsuit was filed Thursday on behalf of the Defend Our Freedoms Foundation, a group that Taitz founded. It claims that going through with the impeachment trial would be illegal since the Constitution states that the impeachment process can be used to remove a sitting president, while Trump already left office when President Joe Biden was inaugurated on Wednesday.

His grades were never in question. It was his citizen status. Was he enrolled as a foreign student? While in Indonesia did his step-father adopt him, did he become Indonesian? Did he receive benefits as a foreign student? Ditto Columbia University. No one has ever come forth saying knew or saw him at the University. Strange. I believe it is our business.

100% correct, Obama could have been born in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House and he would not be a natural born citizen.
Anyone born with more than ONE nationality is NOT NATURALLY an American.
The quality the founders were going for was undivided loyalty, allegiance and citizenship, the children of foreigners were PRECISELY who they were excluding.

Correct. His mother was too young when he was born to convey citizenship under the laws active at that time.
His own grandmother weighed in on where he was born, just before she died. She ought to be one who would know where her grandson was born.
Also, when he visited Pakistan, it is impossible that he used an American passport because private American citizens were not allowed into the country at that time.
His own printed campaign literature contradicts his current position. Was he lying before, or is he lying now? Either way, he’s a proven liar.
