I have a different take on this completely. By saying Trump “incited” by falsely saying the vote was fraudulent gives Republicans a platform to lay out the fraud that happened.

They can do that over objections.

If every Republican went full Joe Wilson and shouted “You lie!”, the Sargent at Arms is forced to lock them all up or lose face, and have her inability to enforce her own rules shown naked to all.

No 2/3rds required for a quorum, no trial, no impeachment.

Per the Constitution, a Senate quorum is 51 ("a Majority of each shall constitute a Quorum to do Business..."). So only one Republican showing up would qualify. And impeachment requires 2/3rd of those present, so your plan could backfire by just Mitt Romney showing up and 34 Democrats voting the same way they voted last impeachment.
