Absent a criminal conviction for this, no one can apply this clause of the 14th Amendment.

My guess is that come 2024, if Trump tries to register in some states as a candidate, they will try to keep him off the ballot.

Since Congress eliminated due process in its rush to impeach, how can this move forward? The way in which they are treating this opens the door to any politician (who am I kidding, Republican) being able to be removed, permanently, for an allegation. Congress is no longer an legislative body, they seem to believe they're all prosecutors now.
