President Biden made halting construction on the Keystone XL Pipeline one of his (first priorities) in office, and now, one union that endorsed him is having a change of heart about the new commander in chief.
“In revoking this permit, the Biden Administration has chosen to listen to the voices of fringe activists instead of union members and the American consumer on Day 1,” Mark McManus, president of the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters, said last week. “Let me be very clear: When built with union labor by the men and women of the United Association, pipelines like Keystone XL remain the safest and most efficient modes of energy transportation in the world. Sadly, the Biden Administration has now put thousands of union workers out of work. For the average American family, it means energy costs will go up and communities will no longer see the local investments that come with pipeline construction.
They won’t learn. They will still support Demonicrat politicians in the next elections.
A corrupt democrat union leader simply mouthing some slogans to pacify his members. He knew what was coming.
The Pipefitters and Plumbers should have thought of this before they endorsed Clueless Joe.
I know a guy who is a local official with this Union - during the campaign he was posting 100% Hate against President Trump.
Nah, they all KNOW that Democrats are for the little guy and Unions LOVE Democrats for it. Democrats are for good wages and strong unions. What could be more important?
Too late, guys. Damage has been done.
The leadership would endorse him today again and will in 4 years.
Unions = Stupid
show me the weekly emails in 2020 to their members warning them that a vote for Biden will mean a loss of their jobs and I’ll contemplate having sympathy.
The cancel culture is coming for Mark McManus.
I have no sympathy for them
I hope everyone who voted for Potato Head Joe gets everything they voted for:
no jobs
high gas prices
wars
food stamps
illegal aliens
crime
failing schools
They deserve it
Every bit of it
Screw them...I have less than zero sympathy for any union member who voted for Biden, and then took it up the *ss as a result.
Go bankrupt and live on the streets, no sympathy from me whatsoever.
The union endorsements appear to have almost no impact on voting patterns among white industrial union members. Look at West Virginia, eastern Ohio, and western Pennsylvania, old union territory that, except for Pittsburgh, voted for Trump by large margins. Except for civil service unions, labor unions no longer deliver votes for the Democrats. Like the mainline Protestant churches, the liberal political elite basically ignore the AFL-CIO, unlike in the days of Lane Kirkland or George Meany. Liberals have two sacraments: money and votes. Neither the mainline churches nor the industrial unions deliver the latter. So the powers that be ignore them
F’in morons:

“We’re not going to sit on the sidelines at the UA. This endorsement is about putting UA members to work and fighting for fair wages and good benefits. Under a Biden Administration, that’s exactly what we’ll get,” said Mark McManus, General President of the United Association. “Let’s be real: nobody in the Oval Office will be with us on every single issue. But with his long history of standing shoulder to shoulder with working families and his commitment to an all-of-the-above energy approach that will mean more UA jobs, protecting the hard-earned retirements of our members, and appointing union-friendly judges, Joe Biden will be a fierce ally to our UA Brothers and Sisters in the White House.”
I don’t hope for that, but it is a fear I have of happening for a large part of them.
I suspect they believed they would have an influential place at the table where they could carve out exceptions for their people. They didn’t expect the other groups to act so quickly and not even set a place for them. Now they get tossed the dessert crow to eat.
The “Dominion Machinist” union is the big one.
