Dominion Voting Systems has reportedly filed a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani, former President Donald Trump’s lawyer who played a key role in Trump’s efforts to challenge the results of the 2020 election.
The lawsuit, according to The New York Times, was filed in the Federal District Court in Washington. It accuses Giuliani of carrying out “a viral disinformation campaign about Dominion” made up of “demonstrably false” allegations, in part to enrich himself through legal fees and his podcast.

Grail. Thanks, spellcheck.
It’s all been replaced. They will have installed things to make it look good. They can do it remotely. Or they replaced hardware and software. No evidence of any election.
A month or so back people here on FR were saying that Dominion would never file a lawsuit because they were too afraid of discovery. Now that Dominion has apparently filed a lawsuit people here are already making up excuses for when Giuliani loses.
The Georgia officials, against the court order, shredded the ballots before he arrived.
As American citizens we should all file a suit against dominion! Think about it why would they even name their voting machines “dominion?“ Even the name is offensive! Fraudulent POS!!
Rudy might have a field day with discovery with these clowns. Bring it on....
They’d have it in a locked room to keep anyone from examining it, and even so, I think two machines in Michigan and one in Georgia were examined and found crooked, and an IT guy can say when and how any tampering occurred.
Good. Dominion will have to disclose everything.
In before the first thousand reasons from loswrs why Guiliani will lose.
How does a Venezuelan company have standing to bring a lawsuit in the US?
Whack or not, he understands machine readable formats better than most people. He has made a fortune inventing me ones. And yes, he was prevented from conducting a forensic audit of the ballots.
Either Dominion is really confident or they’re bluffing and hoping Rudy settles and leaves them alone.
Look for judge(s) to suppress evidence!
It doesn’t matter what the evidence is, like it doesn’t matter what the real vote count was, a corrupt judge will rule against him. Think of Flynn, think financial ruin from a court case that goes for years on end. The system is corrupt for a reason — to destroy the enemy.

LOL. Do you seriously believe the crack pipe insanity spewed by Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani about Dominion? I know that the line between conservative entertainment and news gets awfully muddy at times, but seriously... "Venezuelan company"???
Dominion was founded in Toronto, Ontario. That's where it's name comes from - the Dominion of Canada.
They have standing, clear evidence, and a very good case of documented harm. They are eager to bring a case to the discovery phase. They want everyone's lawyers turned loose on their equipment, records, documentation, and personnel. They will refuse to settle the Giuliani and Powell lawsuits. They crave a media circus.
One by one, Dominion has used the 2020 election cycle to finally demonstrate that lying and calling it news has consequences. Fox News, Newsmax, and American Thinker have all been forced to retract their bald faced lies about Dominion. Not only were they forced to issue retractions, they have been forced to rein in their liars on air going forward.
Consider the circumstances: this is not some case of the "liberal establishment" grinding some small conservative outfit down with their massive bank accounts or the evil Soros Machine™ with its European tendrils gripping some poor defenseless scrappy American startup... Dominion demanded a retraction from Fox News, the most popular cable news channel in America. Owned by Rupert Murdoch, a multi-billionaire with endless resources and legions of lawyers. If there was any truth whatsoever to Fox's claims that Dominion had engaged in any kind of chicanery in the 2020 election - if there was even a shred of truth to their claims - they could have stood up to Dominion's demands and probably countersued them out of existence.
Instead, Fox News, one of the richest, most powerful media corporations in the world, with billions of dollars and hundreds of highly skilled lawyers at its disposal, folded like a cheap suit and scurried off with its tail between its legs.
Think about that for a moment. The world's most powerful conservative media company, owned by Rupert Murdoch, himself personally worth twenty billion dollars, was told by their lawyers to retract everything they said about Dominion and immediately forbid their on air talent from telling any more lies about them.
There was a time when Free Republic was a place where I could come to find the truth, even when it was a bitter pill. Conservative values used to include the truth; dealing with reality while the liberals spun their fairy tales of endless "wealth" from Other People's Money, fifteen "genders", and denial of the light of our Lord Jesus Christ. The advent of Trumpism suddenly ejected the truth from the pantheon of conservative values, along with fiscal responsibility. I can only hope that at some point, we can course correct and come back to the truth as a core value of what it means to be an American Conservative.

I hear ya.
