I never expected that an MSNBC host would deliver outright admission that the media have a serious double standard and would attack Donald Trump for actions that Joe Biden just took to no approbation at all. Has someone spiked the coffee pot at the MSNBC's D.C. studios with sodium thiopental? Or is it that with Democrats in charge of all three elective organs of the federal government, it is deemed safe to let a little bit of truth out? We'll never know, but I am guessing we won't see any similar admissions anytime soon.

MSNBC Live host Stephanie Ruhle conceded that if President Trump had an in-person Inauguration during the pandemic, the media would pounce. In a rare moment of media self-awareness, Ruhle told never-Trumper Steve Schmidt, "It will be a smaller inauguration ceremony, but they're still having one in person and, let's be honest, you know if President Trump did this, he would be getting crushed for holding a super-spreader event. We'd all be saying it."

Peggy Noonan had an editorial in the WSJ in which she expressed her view that “a relatively normal inauguration offers hope that better days are ahead”.
Relatively normal — you know, behind razor wire, guarded by 26,000 soldiers, with the public forbidden to attend. I guess that’s “the new normal”.
But I guess she really meant that joe did it “in-person” rather than virtually from his basement. I guess that’s considered the “new awesome”.

Peggy Noonan is a classic case of someone with zero talent getting ahead by knowing the right people.
Most of the female on-air reporters are beauties, aren’t they? And every on-air person has beautiful teeth, especially those in commercials. I think beautiful-teeth privilege has run amuck. Not to mention beautiful-people privilege. And the people that we see get to repeat their performances until they get it right, have a carefully prepared script, lighting, makeup, backgrounds, music, special effects and editing.
Imaging how great I would appear to be if I had all of that support behind me!
The first paragraph of the article didn’t tell a thing about the substance of the article. I never appreciate that.

Noonan started her career working for Dan Rather at CBS, then gradually climbed the ladder in media and political circles by pretending to be “center right” (whatever that means). That got her a job as one of Reagan’s speechwriters, and she’s lived off that ever since. I despise her and her mealy mouthed way of speaking and writing.
Media gets what they pimped for four years now whines about it live with it suckers.
