The Washington Post Just Proved How Desperate It Is to Be Kamala Harris' Pravda
PJ Media ^ | 01/24/2021 | Tyler O' Neill

The Washington Post attempted to throw an embarrassing story about now-Vice President Kamala Harris down the memory hole but reversed course after Reason and others exposed the paper’s attempt to become Kamala Harris’ personal Pravda. How embarrassing.

Back on July 23, 2019, when Harris was a lowly senator from California and one of the many 2020 Democratic candidates for president, the Post dared to run quotes from an unflattering interview. How impertinent!

In the original version of the article, Harris compared life amid the rigors of the campaign trail to living behind bars and pleading for food and water.

Here are the first seven paragraphs of the original article, written by Ben Terris and preserved by Reason‘s Eric Boehm:

It was the Fourth of July, Independence Day, and Kamala Harris was explaining to her sister, Maya, that campaigns are like prisons.

She’d been recounting how in the days before the Democratic debate in Miami life had actually slowed down to a manageable pace. Kamala, Maya and the rest of the team had spent three days prepping for that contest in a beach-facing hotel suite, where they closed the curtains to blot out the fun. But for all the hours of studying policy and practicing the zingers that would supercharge her candidacy, the trip allowed for a break in an otherwise all-encompassing schedule.

“I actually got sleep,” Kamala said, sitting in a Hilton conference room, beside her sister, and smiling as she recalled walks on the beach with her husband and that one morning SoulCycle class she was able to take.

“That kind of stuff,” Kamala said between sips of iced tea, “which was about bringing a little normal to the days, that was a treat for me.”

“I mean, in some ways it was a treat,” Maya said. “But not really.”

“It’s a treat that a prisoner gets when they ask for, ‘A morsel of food please,’ ” Kamala said shoving her hands forward as if clutching a metal plate, her voice now trembling like an old British man locked in a Dickensian jail cell. “‘And water! I just want wahtahhh….’Your standards really go out the f—ing window.”

Kamala burst into laughter.

This is exactly the kind of cringe-worthy non-comparison that caused Democratic voters to sour on Kamala Harris. Obviously, campaigning to become the most powerful person in the world is nothing like starving behind bars. It was particularly disgusting for Harris — a career prosecutor who put non-violent drug offenders behind bars — to joke about prisoners dying of thirst. As Boehm noted, Harris’ “track record includes defending dirty cops and laughing off criticism of her history of throwing poor parents in jail when their kids missed school.”

This brief section of text showed a key aspect of Kamala Harris’s character — and it wasn’t pretty.

I still say she’s not really up to par here.

They like to bring up her resume, but just how much was really
required of her along the say. Staff can make you look
pretty good.

She’ll have a myriad of people willing to cover for her
now, but I’m not sure she can really pull it off.

She is so over her head.

This is a woman that couldn’t stick in long enough to get
one delegate to the convention last year.

LOL

WaPo is just following their own slogan, “democracy dies in darkness “.

RE: I still say she’s not really up to par here.

Well if she isn’t, how about Joe Biden?

I highly doubt that he had any input in the executive orders that he signed. Those EO’s were already pre-written before he took office and Slow Joe is simply going to act as the automatic rubber stamper.

I think everyone knows Chairman Jao is one well placed banana
peel from early retirement.

She’s the one to watch > IMO. He’ll do the dirty work and
then she’ll take over looking like some sort of very qulified
saint, up front.

As time goes by, it will become obvious what a light-weight
she is.

My first thought is who will she appoint as her second.

Will she be given the banana peel treatment also?

I have a feeling we haven’t seen or thought about every
thing that will happen yet.

Highly doubt? I am thoroughly convinced you could ask him today about the Keystone pipeline permit revocation and the United States Bulk-Power System suspension...and you'd receive a "Huh? Wha?" response.

If her handlers recommend she appoint Hillary...Kamala needs to say NO and run, or she will end up in a big list of folks who got in the way of the Clintons.

Heels Up will first to go.

The Dems will say they realise she does not qualify as next in line for POTUS due to neither parents being citizens of the US at time of her birth.

Plugs will then nominate her successor, the Lady In Waiting.

Another issue about Joe has suddenly come up in the last week...

Two MSM news sources claimed that Joe promised to serve just one term, so, he is now totally focused on creating his presidential legacy at the fastest speed possible.

First time I have heard about Joe "promising" just one term.

And, just as you pointed out, Joe could not pass a basic exam on the substance of the Executive Orders he just signed.

The last five years have been by and for the Hildabeast.

She funded the Steele dossier and went from there.

‘the zingers that would supercharge her candidacy’

Straight from the Bezos Post.

Yes, I agree.

Not sure if this is the same conversation where the person
stated they think Kamala will be the first to go, just not
qualified. They think Biden would then pick Hillary.

Hope that’s severely flawed thinking.
