A California church that espouses anti-LGBTQ beliefs and has been the recent target of protests was bombed with an improvised explosive device early Saturday morning, authorities said.
The El Monte Police Department responded to calls around 4:30 a.m. about smoke at First Works Baptist Church. Officers discovered windows were broken and realized there had been a blast, Lt. Christopher Cano told reporters at the scene. There were no injuries or deaths.

If half of what is written about Steven Anderson is true, I can’t really sympathize with this little sect either. Calling for the death penalty for homosexuality, publicly praying for the death of Obama, producing anti-Semitic videos and tracts, etc. Real Christian of him, eh?

The pastor received death threats against him and his family, and homosexual activists harassed people trying to attend church services. The pastor responded by ministering to AIDS patients in a compassionate way.
