When he came back from Vietnam he then dumped her for Cindy who was 17 years younger than her and a millionaire heiress.
Carol worked as an assistant to Nancy Reagan and was good friends with her and Ronald, she eventually took a prominent job in the White House. The Reagans loathed John McCain for the way he had treated her. The guy was a real dirtbag.
