Premiers tell Trudeau they ‘want to go to war’ with U.S. over Keystone XL: sources
Global News ^

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faced anger from some of Canada’s premiers Thursday over U.S. President Joe Biden’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline project — including heated calls for punishment that could fracture ties between the two allies.

The First Ministers call, which lasted just over an hour, also touched on the coronavirus pandemic and issues with the nationwide vaccine rollout, sources told Global News. But Canada-U.S. relations in the wake of Biden’s controversial move dominated the discussion.

“Some premiers want to go to war” with the United States over the cancellation, aides of those who participated in the meeting said.

The aides spoke on the condition of anonymity to frankly discuss a private discussion that they said “got pretty heated.”

During the discussion, aides said Ontario Premier Doug Ford cast his lot in with Alberta’s Jason Kenney and Saskatchewan’s Scott Moe, and warned the prime minister he should stand up to “a bully” like Biden on Keystone.

The characterization surprised some of the other premiers on the call, aides said, given the behaviour of Biden’s predecessor, Donald Trump.

Ford, along with premiers of other non-oil producing provinces, fear that if Biden can cancel Keystone XL, he’ll also bring in “Buy America” policies to help the American economy recover from the pandemic. A “Buy America” policy, which Biden has promised on the campaign trail, could freeze out Canadian steel, aluminum, and manufactured goods — something that would cause widespread harm to the Canadian economy.

I'd prefer rule by Trudeau over Xiden. The Canadians at least run honest elections the last time I checked.

I've got way more in common with the average Canadian in, say, Alberta than with the average swamp creature in DC.

I suspect Alberta still has some good conservative Canadians, but rule by Trudeau is no different than Traitor Joe. Trudeau is gung ho on The Great Reset. He’s on the same page as Biden. He’s doesn’t want Canada to be a sovereign nation - he’s a globalist.

Well, Warren Buffet is not a political leader. Who cares if he has investments in other areas?

Why did Biden cancel the pipeline? Because Trump was for it? Because it was going to carry fossil fuel oil? Out of spite? Because of the Green New Deal? We're a real long way from ever replacing fossil fuels with the GND phony baloney energy sources so if that is why, why not just phase it out instead of cancelling it abruptly?

He killed over a billion dollars worth of work in jobs including 8,000 union jobs, which I haven't heard the unions complaining about. Why not?

He made this decision to appease the Marxist Left and cut our nose off to spite our face in the process. Making decisions from ideological points of view instead of what makes sense for the country, does not a leader make.

Biden failed his first test.

War with Canada?
Wow, I’ve heard of war hawks but this was not on my radar.

“...somewhat surprised the Premier of Ontario is siding with his western counterparts...”

That’s because unlike the lesbian feminist SJW darling Kathleen Wynne that Drug Ford replaced, he, at least understands that without all that Alberta natural gas, Ontario’s cities can pretty much enjoy freezing their asses off throughout the winter.

Likewise, contrary to how it is often portrayed, the vast majority of Ontario (at least by land-mass) tends to have conservative viewpoints, and votes accordingly. It’s only in the urban areas, where the politics tend to skew Liberal and/or NDP. (well that, and a couple of the ridings up north, where the mining unions are big).
Unfortunately, rural Ontario pretty much gets dragged along for the ride, whether we like it or not, by whoever the cities vote for. :(

Just an message to Canadians and their leaders: Years ago the United States was presented a bust of one "Winston Churchill". Some of you might even remember him: "some chicken...some neck". That bust occupied a place of pride in the Oval Office for many years after its receipt.

But a Nobel Peace Prize recipient name Barak Hussein Obama ordered it removed from said Office. And then a few years later a man *deserving* of the Nobel Peace prize,Donald J Trump, ordered it returned to the Oval Office.

And guess what,Oh sons and daughters of Canada, happened just a day or two ago? A man referred to by some as "The Big Guy" ordered it removed and replaced with a bust of a union leader thug.

Be advised,Canada, that for the next four years Iran,Venezuela and Red China are our new best friends and as for old friends and allies...when the phone don't ring you'll know it's The Big Guy.

I read a while back that if the Keystone pipeline was stopped, Canada was going to build a pipe line to the Pacific and ship the oil to China. So by Xiden’s actions, China gets the oil and the USA does not. Even though a bunch of American union workers get screwed by the deal.

My tag line applies here.

“Canada was going to build a pipe line to the Pacific and ship the oil to China. “

I think if it was politically possible for Canada to build the pipeline to their west coast, they would have done it. They have the same coastal elite problem the US has. NIMBY. (Not in my back yard.) This issue didn’t start yesterday. It has been going on for years. Think of the revenue they could have made if they had built their own pipeline. They didn’t build it for the same reason nobody can drill an oil well in California. The people in charge would sooner die than allow it to happen. The Canadian taxpayer is screwed.

Our apologies to our Canadian friends.

The forces of Satan used the full power of the federal government and multiple evil state “governments” in a hostile and unified takeover of our most important offices.

Until these Satanic monsters are properly dealt with, there will be only more senseless death, destruction, and ruination upon all of mankind.

Isn’t the pipeline covered under the “New NAFT” agreement that Trump won?

Regardless, I think it’s a mistake to limit our oil supply so soon. Only when we have sufficient nuclear power and a new power grid can we significantly shift away from petroleum.

Remember, Musk told us that and it’s very believable.

It will take many years to create the needed nuclear capacity.
