Thousands Of National Guardsmen Banished To Parking Garage
CNN ^ | January 22, 2021

Thousands of National Guardsmen have been moved to a parking garage after they were told they could no longer use space within the US Capitol Complex, including areas like the cafeteria of a Senate office building, as a rest area, multiple Guardsmen told CNN.

Prior to Thursday morning, several areas throughout the Capitol Complex were designated as authorized rest areas where members of the Guard could take breaks from their shifts protecting Capitol. By Thursday morning, all those areas had been cleared out and their designations removed, the Guardsmen said. "We honestly just feel betrayed," one guardsman told CNN, noting that a day before, congressmen had come by for photos with the different National Guards units that came to Washington to support security around the inauguration. "After everything went seamlessly, we were deemed useless and banished to a corner of a parking garage."

“approximately 7,000 guardsmen are expected to stay through the end of the month.”

WTF? The shows over.

How is the Capitol building any better than a parking garage? How is sleeping on a cold marble floor any better than a cold concrete floor?

At some point, we “red state” parents will stop sending our kids to take orders from corrupt DC elitists who clearly hate us.

He did this several years ago. He was going to offer a discounted rate. However there was a conflict of interest as Trump would still make a profit off the deal. He reversed his decision which was the wise thing to do. Everyone makes mistakes, even Trump. But we still love him.

I don’t think anyone of authority...even in the upper echelons of the Pentagon, has any idea of where this is going. You could run some sleep-in-a-car-park for two weeks, but the appearance makes you look very much like Uruguay.

If you run some impeachment ‘game’...the protest crowd comes back. I honesty don’t think the Guardsmen requirement will be allowed to leave until April. But you’d have to dismiss the current group by mid-Feb from the poor living conditions....bringing fresh new Guardsmen.

Lets be honest....DC has become a third-world ‘nation’.

Highly paid stooges to protect The Steal and ensure Biden’s coup d’état was successful.

The National Guard is highly paid? Compared to what?

No heat in the garage? Washington DC in the winter. Why don’t you try it?

What I don’t understand is where is logistics in all of this? Where are all the S3 shops? Why aren’t the troops being put up inside any of the thousands of surely empty hotel rooms around the district, lots of empty ballrooms and conference rooms in those empty hotels if they don’t want to pay for individual rooms, or at a bare minimum inside buildings already owned by the military like Fort Myer, the Pentagon, old Walter Reed, etc...

Just look at all those poorly secured weapons. How many units are going to have to go searching around a parking garage because some private picked up the wrong weapon or left his in the bathroom, behind a radiator, etc...

There is space. Warm space, with showers and electrical outlets so they can charge their phones to pass by the hours of boredom. Either the people pushing all these Guardsmen into this position just didn’t care to free it up or pay for it, or the Guard commanders didn’t bother to secure quarters for their troops, which is just negligent.

Not their fault. How do you know
President Trump doesn’t need them
there? They would then have to be
deployed under the insurrection
act, and the country really is
under a national emergency.
(Martial law). Which would be
a sign that the military IS now
in control. (wishful thinking?)
Those troops were placed there
with Trumps approval.
If Nancy doesn’t need them, why
doesn’t she tell Uncle Joe to
send them home. There is no threat
of patriot “domestic terrorists
and she knows it.
Sleeping on hard concrete in
sub-freezing temps is cruel and
unusual punishment.
I think the Rats really do want
this to explode.

Martial law?
The original request for troops
from the mayor was they be there
for 15 days after the inauguration.
Trump approved the request.
Past that...get the popcorn
popping.
How many of that 7,000 were
sworn in as US marshalls, with
arrest permissions?

Illegals or prisoners do not have to rest on the concrete floor; second class citizens protecting the elite ruling class.

You are right. Prison inmates would not tolerate this. They would riot.

I echo your concerns. Where is the chain of command here? A few good NCO’s would get this straight (and in proper uniform). No cots, no latrines, etc...this is a joke, right? And there are no planners at the NGB or Pentagon to do the return to Home station plan? The CNGB is a four-star general and he can’t get this done in is own backyard? He needs to resign. It is pathetic.

And, (I’m on a roll here, sorry) do the taxpayers know how much money has been wasted to bring guard personnel from all 54 states/territories for this? All so the the half-assed governors of some some half-assed place like Puerto Rico can say they participated (with their half-assed untrained MP units?)

I know this. How many of the two
are in the seven?
If the troops are there for more
than 15 days past the inauguration,
and ol’ Joe didn’t authorize,
a hammer is about to drop.
Have you heard anything about ol’
Joe extending the troops’ stay?
Anything past 15 is on the
Military....Martial Law?
Defending the Constitution is
job 1.
