The SAT subject tests are 1-hour tests distinct from the general SAT, on subjects such as precalculus, foreign languages, and the natural sciences. They were meant to test what is typically covered in a high school course, whereas Advanced Placement exams test the material in a freshman college course. I think it's too bad subject tests are going away, but standardized tests are politically incorrect nowadays because of their "disparities". The test doesn’t produce the desired equitable results, which is the real reason it’s being dropped. Oddly there doesn’t seem to be the same concern when filling spots on a college’s basketball or football teams.

There is no need for the SAT. According to Kristen Clarke who will head the U.S. D.O.J. Civil Rights Division, intelligence is dependent on melanin. It therefore follows that the darker you are the smarter you are. The only test you need for admission is the darkness of your skin.
