Infections higher after lockdown went into place..
Infectious diseases expert Professor Steven Riley says current data shows that the national lockdown in the United Kingdom is not working.
Riley, who is professor of infectious disease dynamics at Imperial College London, cited a React study which shows “the prevalence of infection increased between 6 and 15 January,” after the national lockdown was announced on January 4.
“It’s long enough that, were the lockdown working effectively, we would certainly have hoped to have seen a decline,” said Riley.
The professor added that current research “certainly doesn’t support the conclusion that lockdown is working.”
As we highlighted last week, a peer reviewed study by Stanford researchers found that mandatory lockdowns do not provide more benefits to stopping the spread of COVID-19 than voluntary measures such as social distancing.
The researchers found “no clear, significant beneficial effect of [more restrictive measures] on case growth in any country.”
While numerous studies show that lockdowns have no impact on reducing the spread of viruses, an avalanche of data shows that they cost lives.
Academics from Duke, Harvard, and Johns Hopkins have warned that there could be around a million excess deaths over the next two decades as a result of lockdowns.
Thousands of doctors and scientists are on record as opposing lockdown measures, warning that they will cause more death than the coronavirus itself.
so far there haven’t been any important mutations that i am aware of. time will tell

Places with the strictest lockdowns have the higher levels of disease after instituting lockdowns. I have posted evidence over and over again that masks don’t work. There is a good deal more evidence against their effectiveness than any evidence of effectiveness
That’s my take. I think of it as a nothingburger indomuch as we don’t need to be doing any of those things. We just need to do the same things we did for flu prevention, Etc.

Did your education include differentiation between correlation and causation?
- Strict lockdown locations, but no control for compliance or any other behaviors. Also no control for whether the widespread infection arrived before, or after lockdown.
- Masks...no control for other behaviors. No control for regular washing and/or replacement. No control for distancing or time in enclosed spaces.
You’re supposed to be, at some level, a scientist.
Yet you spew correlations as if they are actionable data.
It appropriate to say you did not post any evidence of any thing.
i said i have posted the lists in the past i did not repost is time. i have seen no one posting evidence that lockdowns or masking work in the slightest. before you take people’s liberties away do you not think there should be solid evidence for doing so? And yes. I am a scientist. appealing to “science” to prove a point gets you nowhere unless you are in for a discussion of p values, number needed to treat etc and can back it up
