That basically happened to me too the first time I found out about the local/state mandate and was rudely thrown out of Safeway by a little girl who couldn’t have been more than 17.

As she was pointing to the sign behind me, which was behind me because she was commanding my attention, I turned to read the sign and a woman with a young daughter, about 10-12, put up her arm to shield herself, shielding her daughter with the other arm, as she shrank away from the Frankenstein monster before them.

In spite of her mask her look of terror was quite evident and worthy of any horror movie victim about to be slaughtered.

I never did get to read the sign there, as the girl/child ordered me to leave, but read one like it a few minutes later at the auto parts store. Lovely way to find out what the new “law” is.

And is not even the right level of government for that issue anyway, even if he were in Congress. Joe citizen is supposed to be barely aware of the feral government.

You are forgetting 3 fundamental things about federal government authority since the New Deal replaced constitutional authority:

1. Wickard v Filburn (1942)

The Supreme Court expanded constitutional authority of the federal government from regulating interstate commerce to regulating all commerce and business.

2. Obsolescence of non-delegation doctrine

Regulatory agencies can use the law that set them up to make up any laws they want to regulate business.

3. Fascism

The federal government can and does make up rules that businesses have to follow in enforcing behavior on employees and customers, e.g. smoking prohibitions, or be harassed and put out of business, and states have to impose on citizens, e.g. 21 drinking age, 55 mph speed limit, or lose funding. (The high level of federal income tax makes state self-funding impractical, as well as it being easier to vote down state taxes.)

And there is no shortage of volunteer nannies to report deviations.

How can he demand we all wear a mask while traveling on Interstate Highways...

I live up North, and travel to GA. often ...smooth sailing right down I.85 from NC to GA. and for five hrs. I should drive with a mask on?

Not gonna happen...

My grown and, like her old man, conservative daughter stopped by today, January 20, 2021.

As we sought to comfort one another, she mentioned that she stopped en-route for gas and related this small, but highly revealing, human vignette

Another patron, a man of Indian heritage, studied the conservative, patriotic messages that emblazon the back of her car. As he read each one, he slowly shook his head and grimaced slightly.

Kim noted his reaction and asked him what he thought. He paused...then remarked that he and his family came here from India in 2018 to escape the frequent turmoil and economic distress there.

He then asked Kim:“WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN HERE NOW?”

Like the rest of us, she had no answer.

My answer to that question is “WE HAVE NOWHERE TO HIDE” NOW.

(Short video on where we’re headed at the link.)

Biden is not president and can mandate nothing.

Even if a legitimate president had this power, Biden does not because he is illegitimate.

Yes...”some”; however, do any do anything truly productive? That seems an incredible stretch.

So these days most work is done by contractors, overseen by the Feds. I think 80% of federal work is contracted out—and to Americans, which is nice.

The problem is the work itself. Lots of regulations to enforce. Most of which would be better off not existing.

...... Actually ... The 100 Day Mask Mandate is nothing more than a scripted timeline that has been chosen to gradually announce that the worst of the dreaded COVID-19 Virus Pandemic is over.

.... Over the next weeks and months, .... Aided by the media propaganda department, ... we will hear positive news on the virus front proclaiming that the amazing magical mystery mask mandate that was the brainchild of this brilliant wise President ... Which was of course conceived all by himself .... Is actually working .... Because .... Science ....

..... The only reason mask mandates didn't work before was because .... Well ... You Know ...... Trump ....

Also since the outbreak of the scamdemic the ACLU has been conspicuous by their absence, not even a generic press release reminding elected officials to be mindful of peoples’ CIVIL LIBERTIES when closing “non essential businesses”, issuing stay at home orders and mask mandates. Their silence speaks volumes.

Federal highways are on state property. Also this would not be applicable to a personal domicile on federal property. Automobiles have become extension of homes.

Yeah, right.

Joe and whose army is gonna make ‘em?

Can you imagine some G-man in a suit trying to tell a drilling crew to mask up or else?

Local buzzards would be pretty soon picking Egyptian wool outta their beaks.

I don’t get it, I’ve worn a mask the whole pandemic, what’s the problem with them?

1-10 They don’t work
11 they are dehumanizing and lead to uncivil behavior by the anonymous feeling wearer
12 they likely spread nor disease than they stop particularly the ones crumpled in the car and worn for a month at a time
13 they scare children and impede the development of language skills

I read a piece last week...over the FFP-2 masks. If you wear them for roughly 75 minutes...the experts advocate a break/pause of 25 minutes...for you to mostly catch your breath and get ample oxygen into your system.

If you can imagine federal workers....8-hour day....they’d have to have two hours of a pause somewhere in the day if they wore the masks.
