Report: Trump Considering Starting His Own ‘Patriot Party’

A Report in the Wall Street Journal claims that President Trump is considering starting his own political party and calling it the ‘Patriot Party’.

The Journal claims that Trump has discussed the idea with aides, who leaked the details.

Trump is said to be thinking about ditching the Republican party, following what he believes is a lack of support from GOP leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Reports have also claimed that members of Trump’s own cabinet, including VP Mike Pence, are choosing to attend Joe Biden’s inauguration over Trump’s scheduled military-style send off event later today at Joint Base Andrews.

In his farewell address, Trump told supporters that the “movement we started is just beginning.”

“Together with millions of hardworking patriots across this land, we built the greatest political movement in the history of our country,” he added.

Trump also said that he was proud of being the first President in decades not to start any war:

...

He continued “In America, we don’t insist on absolute conformity or enforce rigid orthodoxies and punitive speech codes. We just don’t do that. America is not a timid nation of tame souls who need to be sheltered and protected from those with whom we disagree. That’s not who we are. It will never be who we are.”

Who is going to pick it up? Comcast? AT&T? They will never allow it.

Will be a fruitless effort.

We can’t keep anyone in the GOP. They are infected with “cowards disease” which can’t be cured. Please don’t tell me they aren’t all bad, because the “cowards disease” always shows up to stab you in the back. A third “Patriot Party” would start with 75m members who could out fund the GOP. Trying to reform the GOP is like playing with a poisonous snake. Breaking them financially is the way to go.

The Trump brand has endless possibilities. With close to 80 million supporters, from a new party to a massive conservative movement to include where to shop, what to buy, what to boycott, who to support in political races, what to watch, what to read, ......goodness, it’s exciting to think about.

And watching the GOP elite burn to the ground is a bonus.

Hell - if he does it, I’ll send 100 bucks - $7.5 Billion would send an even better message.

I have been a registered Republican for over 60 years. I will immediately change that registration when Trump announces/organizes his new party.

While the current GOP is politically bankrupt, I do not think starting a new party is the answer. Trump should use his charisma and popular support to reinvigorate the party and to keep his base fired up. Good start another Mt Rushmore rally on July 4th. I would expect the Biden administration to try every means to block using the monument and the state controlled media to ignore, censor and denigrate the event. However, there are state park lands near Mt Rushmore and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is a staunch supporter. A crowd of 100,000 celebrating our Declaration of Independence would be a great counterpoint to the gloom and doom of the first six months of the Biden administration.

No! The Patriot party then becomes an enormous and powerful voting block to sway the Pube fencers and push RINOs out, using their votes!! As it sits now, it can be difficult to determine who is a RINO and who is not, when all painted as Republicans. Separate the goats from the sheep. Then we clearly can see who they are!! Then attack them publicly and at the voting booth!

Come on, man!

The Tea Party was not a fourth party! They were a solid voting block within the Pube party.
