They cheated, committed fraud, lied, coerced, and extorted. But none of it mattered because they had the entire government establishment behind them - local, state and federal.

No patriotic observer should ever refer to this as a legitimate government. That endorses large-scale fraud as a means to an end.
We are all finding it difficult today to integrate fully the lack of any apparent effort to block this coup. I suppose those who made that decision calculated that they would inevitably fail and make the comeback even more difficult. There is no other plausible reason.
