Trump’s Next Move…The “Patriot Party”

We are the movement…it’s only just beginning…

President Trump has talked in recent days with associates about forming a new political party, according to people familiar with the matter, an effort to exert continued influence after he leaves the White House.

Mr. Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week, the people said. The president said he would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party,” the people said.

Mr. Trump has feuded in recent days with several Republican leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), who on Tuesday said Mr. Trump deserved blame for provoking the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Polls show Mr. Trump retains strong support among rank-and-file GOP voters.

The White House declined to comment.

Yes, I noticed! And yo split the conservative vote it will give Dems a super majority and you will never be able to over come it again. Even if it were possible to turn a third party into a majority party in the short run it would produce a Democrat super majority. Stop and think use your mind. What do you think they would do with a super majority? Our tactics that we have been using don't work and we need new tactics we need a new understanding of the playing field. The GOP establishment is not conservative they are corporatists. The wealthy and corporate classes are not our friends . They are our enemies. start from that and you will have a new understanding of where we are. On the other side we need them and they need us. That is a leverage that we have and if you forget that you are just setting yourself up todo somthing stupid like start a third party.

No they are not communist. The wealthy may talk communist as that is very fashionable, but they are definitely not communist. They use communists just like the Republican elite uses Conservatives. The people who control the Democrat party are radical fasionista cosmopolitans. They live in very wealthy tony areas like Beverly Hills and Manhattan and other places that have a high cost of living that taxes them. They like to showoff their wealth. They are not Communists they are greedy for money just like they are greedy for power. The only people that they are going to redistribute the wealth to is to themselves. We need to understand that they are something else other than communists and stop living with paradigms that are outmoded and outdated. If you don't understand the enemy you cannot win the battle.

“Because electing RINOs and squishy, noodle spined, tepid, “republican” pretend friends has served us sooooooo well, hasn't it?”

That is true but starting another party will destroy us. wise up! We are using outmoded views of how things work. If you want to squeeze the corporatist rinos than I think we have to hit them where it hurts like advocating raising their taxes. That will wake them up. If you keep using old tactics that may of worked yesteryear with out realizing that it is a completely different world yo will never win. And that is doubly true for doing something stupid like starting a third party.

+1. I ditched the Republican Party in 2016 to become an independent and will join the Patriot Party on day one when it becomes a reality.

With election fraud no one who thinks the America we love shouldn't be destroyed will EVER hold elected office.

That pretty much makes any discussion of peaceful means rather moot.

Still one can hope.

There was a suggestion later in the thread to infiltrate the ruling party and slowly correct its course. That might work. It worked to overthrow America, it can work to restore a Rule of Law, Constitutional, Free Enterprise America.

We need to redefine the dialog:

Fair isn't you work hard, we take everything you make, absorb nearly all of it into the bureaucracy, give a big chunk to people who won't work and a thin sliver of the remainder back to you.

Charity isn't we take your money under the threat of the full might of the federal government and give it to our cronies who have noble sounding foundation names.

...etc.

Can this even be done?

Well, given that it has been done, yes.

It took 70 years to flip America's political language. It took 70 years for the Soviet Union to fall. I think we can beat both of those. We are Americans, and have often manifested the ability to better any record!

We have tried this for at least several generations. we have a new generation and we need something that works now. Not something that was true but never worked. We need to take the war and tactics to the people who run the country. The people who runt he country are not poor and they are very establishment and very privileged and very fascistic as we are seeing today.

Nope. The GOP is dead. It’s over. It’s time to accept that fact and to move on to a real Conservative, America First party.

We've tried to convince adults.

Howard Zinn worked on impressionable children, and when they became adults, they no longer examined, or were willing to examine that which the knew with every fiber of their uncritically absorbed "truth".

I'll leave it at that...

I favor a takeover of the GOP from within.

Trump tried that. How’d that work out for him?

The GOP is corrupt to the core. It cannot be reformed. It has to die and then be resurrected from the ashes.

In states like CA where there are open primaries it could be really tough to get anybody elected on a third party ticket in the down-ticket offices. I want to stay with MAGA/patriot people and ideas whether they stay Republican or split off and go 3rd party. My question is how to do it in California?

Please don’t waste time on CA smears, as much as you may enjoy them. This is an earnest question at a serious point in time.

There are plenty of races even Republicans can't get onto the ticket in. A third party, even Trump's, probably won't stand a chance. Your best bet might be just running guys under the Dem label :p

I remember how happy it was to witness the election miracle in 2016, as a Republican. President Trump was the best president of my lifetime. I desire to see that experience repeated and improved on. President Trump made some obvious mistakes in hindsight. I don’t expect him to run again, but if he does run, I think he should run as a Republican (or a Democrat).
