I was mentioning the size of Trump vs Biden crowds at another site and really got thrown for a loop. We all saw those videos of his events with mostly just the press present, but then one of the biden supporters presented all sorts of photos of huge Biden crowds, especially before the Rona thing.
This caused me to do a search on Bing, Google, et al and I was shocked to see that yes, he did have fairly large crowds.
I'm here for help. Am I missing something here, or falling prey to filtered results. I saw large crowds (and no, they were not Trump people) on the side of the road, large crowds listening, etc.
What's going on here?
Paid government workers.
Any campaign is going to have hundreds of people involved. You can be sure that many of the crowd that he might have had consisted of campaign workers, who were told to be there.

I suspect that one of the contributing decisions for the presence of the Guard and the iron works was that the left KNEW that Sleepy Joe was not going to draw that large of a crowd ... despite the suposed number of voters. Gives a fig leaf of a cover to the smaller turn out.
At this point,I would not trust Bing or Google to tell me the sky was blue.
Biden wasn’t the nominee before the ‘rona thing.
Remember the Dems were still fighting it out, and Biden was like #3 or #4 on the list. He only became significant when it became apparent that Sanders was going to clinch the nomination and the party bosses when into panic mode.
I suspect those are fake photos.
Not sure. One thing I’m sure of is both sides are really good at feeding you just what they want you to see.
You know, I used to watch Morning Joe because the format was good, and some of the exchanges were actually smart. Then they went full retard and proclaimed their mission was to resist Trump. One side, full time, nothing but negativity towards Trump. So I quit watching, and it led me to where I am now. I backed away from ALL broadcast news, because it seemed that their goal was to just get me to react emotionally.
Fair and balanced doesn’t exist in America today.
As others have said, many of those attendees may have been staffers and local party funkies. Also, leftwingers have exhibited far, far more state- and media-sanctioned hysteria over the China virus. Perhaps they simply stayed away in huge numbers, while Trump’s far more sensible, level-headed supporters came out in huge numbers.
Well he was also in everyone’s living rooms nationally uncontested. Some of the best campaign ads ever produced presenting him to Americans as forceful, strong, articulate, man of integrity, vision, a unifying figure with a bold agenda, etc. Zero competing message on these channels from the Trump campaign. Biden defined himself and the issues of the campaign all to himself to many, if not most, Americans. And there was so much material that could have been aired without commentary re: Biden to totally blow the characterization out of the water they were painting of him - just show the videos of him cussing people out, threatening to fight them, making racists comments, the “hairy legs” video, etc. - even run ads of Kamala Harris calling him racially insensitive and that she believes his accusers. And of course, tell his own story of accomplishments in ads highlighting the peace deals, economy, etc. But none of that was done on these channels. Trump’s retail politics was second to none, but Biden controlled the airwaves defining himself without any competition.
I’ve seen pictures of Walter Mondale rallies back in 1984. He drew some fairly large crowds, but of course he went down to a 49 state defeat to Reagan. Every presidential candidate will draw crowds no matter who it is. Didn’t Mittens attract large crowds in PA and the Midwest in the closing days of the 2012 campaign too?
Weren’t they following Covid guidelines ? I saw some on Japanese news of around 40 cars in a parking lot with the commentator estimating maybe 100 people, possibly. His Youtube channel also has only like 2000 sign ups.
I do see the contrast of crowd size. Some of the pictures are misleading where it talks about Biden, but shows Trump crowds. If you just look at the picture and not examine it or read the attached texts, you might confuse the two. A packed arena is one. It is connected to the Biden search but the jumbotron above is “Keep America Great”. That is a Trump rally.
Look at all the Biden campaign events. They show closeups of the crowd. That makes it appear large, but it actually is a small crowd.
The only larger crowd seems to be his first campaign event after nomination. Even that is a tight crowd shot.

Biden held campaign events in parking lots. Six people showed up to hear Jill speak....one was heard to say "Who's Biden."

Agreed. It was as if, besides Trump himself, most of the Trump campaign was afraid of being seen as beating up a feeble old guy...
I just cant wait to see (gag) “all” the Biden voters at the (cough) inauguration.
