Have you tried any of them? The only one to be found locally is Zevia.

Not sure the commercial stuff will have the same benefits.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to kill the messenger. Post #20. I’m surprised it took that long.

Yahoo is pure drivel. Absolutely nothing, zilch of value comes from that commie source. That’s obvious as the sun is bright.

I find adding Irish cream to my coffee has tremendous health benefits. It makes the people I come in contact with more bearable.

Did you read the article.
It’s about Singapore, not China.

Coffee from China. Hmmm. Naw I’ll stick with my veteran owned and operated Black Rifle coffee.

Yeah, U got that one right. We already have chocolate from fermented cacao beans, buried in a hole in the ground, covered with fronds, scooped out and bagged when done. Allergy to chocolate comes from the rat dung inseparable from this product. Probably the same for coffee.

But tea leaves? Something not quite right about that tannic acid if you soak them too long, eh?

I think I’ll buy a jar of sauerkraut. My gut could use trillions of good bacteria.

It is my understanding that one needs to consume the fresh refrigerated sauerkraut to get the good bacteria.

And when you put the probiotic laced coffee in boiling water, the probiotics survive just how?

Good question. I don’t know anyone who boils coffee anymore. Every coffee drinker I know uses a drip coffeemaker.

Still all it takes is 140 F or more in order to kill bacteria. I never measured the temp of my coffee after I brew pot. I’ll to remember to measure the temp next time I make some.

Geography is hard, alcoholism so easy.

True. I had a friend who was an alcoholic until one day he became a coffee aficionado.

He came to the rest of us in the bar and started extolling the virtues and sublimities of coffee with his macchiatos, espressos and whatnot.

We all begged him - with tears in our eyes - to stay away from that muck and stick to a good, safe whiskey and soda or at a pinch a gin and t.

But to no avail.

He was stubborn and refused to give up that devil's brown brew.

Within two weeks he was dead....

...

...

He got run over by a car while crossing the street. But I tell you - if he had stuck to his alcohol he would have been nimble enough to leap out of the way.

.

Coffee killed him.

Just get some kefir grains (for either milk or water kefir) and start making your own. Very cheap and easy to make. Double fermented kefir is loaded with probiotics and other nutrients.

Wouldn’t it be easier just to buy and drink bottles of kefir? Then I could prepare my cruciferous vegetables as I have planned: cabbage in coleslaw or soup, broccoli and cauliflower in the oven, deep fried or cooked in the air fryer. Regarding sauerkraut, I’m leaning toward buying refrigerated sauerkraut.

I’m not even sure how to eat sauerkraut. Seems to me I’ve seen recipes that call for serving it with kielbasa, and that’s about it. Do people just eat it as a side dish or ?

It would be easier to just buy it, but commercial kefir is pasteurized after it’s cultured, killing off a lot of the microbes. Homemade kefir is healthier because it has many more and more varied strains of beneficial bacteria than store bought. It’s about a quarter of the cost to make it.
