Why do I think this is a BS cover story for something nefarious?
I am guessing it is propaganda. They want to keep up the theme of Russian interference in everything related to POTUS.
The FBI has put out more propaganda in the past 12 days, than any media outlet has disbursed in the past 4 years, IMO. All of this stuff about threats to the inauguration, need for thousands of troops, threats to the state capitols, armed violence, etc., etc., is just an effort to keep people from looking to closely at who was involved in the “riots” on January 6th.

I doubt everything out of the FBI’s mouth. They’re just the enforcement arm of the DNCCP.
But if Pelosi’s laptop was taken, are you telling me ...
A. The drive is not encrypted?
B. Location tracking is not turned on?
C. No one initiated a remote wipe of the drive?

There is no indication that a laptop was actually pilfered from the speaker’s office and the agency said in an affidavit that “the matter remains under investigation.”
The affidavit cites a "former romantic partner" of the woman relaying the story about the laptop and the attempt to sell it to Russia but nowhere in that affidavit does it say anything about a laptop having gone unaccounted for.

How would someone not into espionage even know how to find that buyer? If you went to a Russian ambassador with it, wouldn’t they be suspicious that this was a sting operation (feds), planting misinformation (state department), or a scam (Nigeria)?
The FIB planting a news item to justify investigation. How many millions does she have for a legal defense?

Just wondering: If someone plugged in Pelosi’s computer, is there some way the FBI could trace it?
How would you go about selling it to Russia?? Put it on Ebay?
Why would the Russians want it? They already have their own passwords for all the congress critters files, they bought them from the Chinese who Bought them from the democrats.
