Watching Linda this morning, I get the impression that he is reading the tea leaves as being very anti GOPe.

Since he is very cognizant of this voter base in South Carolina - not a particularly conservative voter base - more Yellow Dog Ds, not radical Ds, his reading of his base, appears to Linda a very long slog ahead for the GOPe.

It's not a hard choice to stick with facts. If there are reasons to seize a laptop and look the contents, then those reasons are the ones I outlined or perhaps others. But if there's a claim that encrypted messages can be decrypted upon seizing the laptop that claim is false. Not sure if someone made that claim or not.

I am very careful with anything I read, not matter what the source is. Just because a source is outside of the control of big tech doesn't mean it is correct. And it is established fact that our adversaries plant fiction in those outside sources to discredit the sources and mislead us, their opponents. The basement in the pizza shop is a good example. Once the basement is shown to not exist, some of the rest of the narrative falls apart.

It's a false choice to say it's either drive-by or Q. I don't read or watch either. I've not watched TV since 1999 other than a drib or drab here and there.

I am both critical and open-minded. If you point me to a Q thread with info on the network of foreign operatives I will gladly read through it. There's plenty of other evidence for foreign influence in the congress. If they were fully coordinated and could all be revealed through a Rosetta stone laptop is where I put on a skeptic hat.

What we are witnessing is a struggle for power in the GOP. The GOPe want to destroy Trump and divorce themselves from his supporters. McConnell is not whipping the vote on conviction. He says people should vote their conscience. Andrew McCarthy just wrote a NR piece that Trump should be convicted.

Lindsey Graham on Maria tried to shoot down the proposition that there was widespread voter fraud. He wants to move on. The next few years should be very interesting.

I think Trump has to challenge the Constitutionality of an Impeachment trial after he’s out of office.

Dershowitz has made a number of excellent points on the Unconstitutionality of that.

In any case, if it goes that far, it will be Alito/Barrett/Gorsuch/Kavanaugh/Thomas who will decide, not McConnell or Chuck U.

Agree. The impeachment process is a constitutional remedy to remove a sitting officeholder from office. Unconstitutional to use it against a private citizen. We have the criminal justice system to address alleged criminal behavior. Nothing reckless/wrong in Trump speech. He was never given due process in the impeachment process in the House.
