Union City’s mayor and other officials condemned a “White Lives Matter” banner found Saturday morning at a city intersection. City officials called the incident — which happened the weekend before the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday and 10 days after the pro-Trump mob stormed the U.S. Capitol — racist.
The banner was found “illegally placed” on the corner of Smith and Dyer streets and removed on Saturday morning, city officials said. A police report was filed, but Union City police could not be reached for comment on Saturday.
“The city is disgusted by this despicable act of vandalism that has occurred on the heels of the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol last week and on the weekend of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday that celebrates the life and achievements of this important civil rights leader,” city officials said in a statement. “While some may believe what happened at the United States Capitol could not happen here, this incident unfortunately shows how divisiveness at the national level can permeate even our community.”

A business associate ran from the office 3 weeks ago after a call from his wife. Upon his return I asked him what happened and he went ballistic.
After a while he apologized and the story was that his wife was cleaning their sons room and under the beg she found a heap of MAGA and trump clothing and flags.
Knowing their son was not MAGA she called her husband and he raced home. After some serious words that I cannot repeat his son broke down and told them that he was storing the stuff that people stole from MAGA people so it could be used when his “friends” went out to stop the fascists.
he now is living on the couch of one of those friends and the clothing and flags burned in the drum out back.
When you see those who are wearing Maga at the front of a police line that look like they just got dressed out of a donations store you know where they got the gear.
