AND, let’s be clear here, a BAD CONDUCT DISCHARGE ONLY comes from being tried at a Court-Martial. You are not just handed one of those as an administrative kicked out of the Army as it says above. This guy was tried, probably for his AWOL and sent packing. Probably lost his pay, earned leave which he cannot be paid for, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade, that is private E-1. So, he has a CONVICTION in a court-martial to get a BCD.
