The government needs to stop bailing out people on everything. I understand people are going through a hard time but borrowing more money does not help the economy. What we need is more freedom to do business and without so many regulations and we need to lower the taxes. The more taxes you pay, the closer you are to socialism. Hard times forces people to adapt and innovate. If the government keeps helping everyone on everything and providing free stuff we are going to go down in debt.

Wrong. Ban the foreign trash Indian H1Bs, OPTs and other garbage from the US first. In some fields, Americans no longer stand a chance at even entry level.

Adapt and innovate? Thousands of CVs sent out, not a single job offer from any American company. More than half a small-businesses permanently closed, including mine.

Adapt and innovate? Like try to survive of 2 or 3 minimum wage jobs with no benefits? Some 78.6 million Americans lost their jobs. Replacement jobs gave everyone a huge salary (scratch that, they are now mostly entry-level hourly employees with no benefits.

You’re suffering from antiquated thinking. The “1776 America” is gone. Think of not paying taxes as the Boston Tea Party.

Let’s push the throttles all the way forward, push the stick all the way forward and hard left, and let it run. Let’s just get it over with.

No, the idea is that these people are delusional and worse than drunken sailors, because unlike the old drunken sailors they don’t just end up empty handed after spending the money, they attempt to create new money to try and compensate for the wasted money. No accountability.

Well having a Weimar Republic doesn’t sound problematic to you does it?

Moore does not understand an obvious point. The liberals want more unemployment so that there are more people dependent on government. The liberals can easily hide the causes of the employment problem from an ignorant public. From Biden’s perspective, the policy is a total success. He gets credit for giving money away and gets to destroy the economy so that the socialists can pick up the pieces.

Moore understands it well. The guy has been a well-meaning fraud for years.

I call him a “fraud” because he peddles government policy based on politics, not sound economics. This was blatantly obvious when he was running around a couple of years ago calling on the Fed to reduce interest rates “to keep the economy strong.”

As one intelligent Freeper pointed out ... If you reduce interest rates when the economy is strong, and you reduce interest rates to stimulate a weak economy, then when are interest rates supposed to go up?

For $1.9 trillion, we could have cold fusion and essentially free electricity, or we could have payoffs to Democrat allies.

If we must have another COVID rescue then Moore’s plan makes as little sense as Biden’s does. Eliminating FICA for the year would cost the government about $1.3 trillion in lost revenue, so his plan impacts the deficit only a little less than Biden’s plan does. It does nothing for unemployed or those facing eviction, it does not provide funding for vaccine distribution or testing. Biden’s plan is a boondoggle for one segment of the population and Moore’s plan is a boondoggle for another.

Some things never change with the democrats.

Higher interest rates, higher inflation and much higher taxes higher unemployment.

[Weimar Republic]

Eventually coming, it is.

Still, where’s that $2,000? Let’s get it going.

AOC sez we’re supposed to get $2,000 - not just $1,400 on top of $600.

Surely Nancy and Chuck won’t hold that up. C’mon man!

C’mon man! They’re trying as hard as they can!

[Biden’s proposals will likely speed America further along the track to bankruptcy]

Yep
