On January 14, 2021, FOX News' Bret Baier reported that though there was some chatter of Antifa involvement in the episode at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, that this information was quelled because Rep. Kevin McCCarthy, House Minority Leader, made a statement that "This was not Antifa; we need to accept that."

Rep. Kevin McCarthy needs to pay attention to Freelance Journalist Stephen Oatley of his own PT News Network who has studied the background of Antifa member John Sullivan who was an important player in the crimes committed in the Capitol building, and is in federal custody even now.
Stephen Oatley has delved into the life, family background, career, and criminal activity of John Sullivan, having kept abreast of Sullivan's bouncing around from one city to another for protests (L.A., Seattle, Portland, etc.).
Oatley has given much more than ample video and good journalistic evidence that Sullivan is indeed Antifa, and that Antifa was indeed involved in the rioting and criminal activity inside the U.S. Capitol building on January 6th.
Was Rep. McCarthy simply misinformed? Or would the Republican Minority Leader have some reason for wanting to hide the operations of Antifa in D.C. on January 6. We are convinced by Stephen Oatley's excellent work that Antifa was not only present, obviously, in the Capitol building, but that he took part and urged on the criminal activity in the building.

Kevin McCarthy needs to be smarter than this. There should be a list of people who were arrested for the events in Washington DC that took place on January 6, 2021. I believe at least one of those arrested was a registered Democrat. As far as I know John Sullivan hasn’t been arrested yet. But he may be later.
Sullivan is in custody.

The question is just how much involvement did they have.
Antifa certainly were agents provocateur who ginned up a crowd and set them on their path be intitiatng and instigating acts of violence that got the ball rolling and sucked some angry MAGA people in.
Antifa also committed scripted and staged acts of pre planned violence to be video recorded for media propaganda purposes and set up MAGA people as part of those staged events.It's probable that the shooting of Ashli Babbit was one of those staged events.
The role of Antifa and BLM agents are slowing being revealed by investigators and by videos by the Antifa agents bragging on social media about their roles provoking MAGA people and showing films of their exploits.
The big question is why are people like Kevin McCarthy pushing the lies and the false narratives

Denying that Antifa and BLM were involved in the events is a big lie, but not the biggest lie. p> The Big Lie is there actually was a serious violent riot or insurrection in the Capitol Building on Jan 6 by MAGA people.
What really happened was a small number of people entered the Capitol building and did some minor acts of vandalism that are blown out proportion for media photo ops.
And most of the actual physical damage, which is mostly minor and limited to a few broken windows or doors and some scattered documents, was actually done by Antifa and BLM false flag specialists to manufacture photo ops to create the false media narrative we are seeing being pushed - and we have that incontrovertible evidence on video all over the internet.
Amazing how a few broken windows at a MAGA event are played as violent insurrection while Antifa and BLM burn riot and loot the same Washington, DC and openly vandalize, loot and burn a historic landmark St. John's Episcopal Church a few blocks away from the White House they tried to storm is ignored and justified and the BLM/Antifa thugs who rioted, looted and burned are praised as heroes .
I have that same question. Why is he ignoring the FACTS?
Lots of very obvious facts being ignored to push the party line.
Why McCarthy is pushing that blatantly false narrative so hard and lying so transparently is the big question.
The answer probably has something to to do with the fact that Congress just knowing certified a similarly blatantly fraudulent rigged and stolen election and they are desperate to seal the deal on their fraud upon the American and get away with the steal with no consequences from a public that knows that the election was stolen and are in the mood for tar and feathers.
The deception and the hypocrisy of the Leftnicks is part of the many lies they have committed. For them, the ends justifies the means—always. They wanted to cause havoc and have it used as a broad brush to paint the entire MAGA movement. Whoever orchestrated this will be learned as time rolls on. I see it as a diversionary tactic away from the central lie, the election fraud.
The evidence about the election fraud have been swept under the rug. That won’t be forever. It will all come out. What the consequences will be for the Leftnicks will be first felt in the 2022 Midterms.
