Those are mostly state-regulated. Are you calling for state regulation of social media? If so, I will think about it in that light. I've already thought about federal and light touch has worked in the past and should work in the future.
In light touch the FTC and similar agencies stop the most aggregious practices of violations of privacy, unfair or deceptive practices. Some states decided to implement their own no-blocking and no-throttling regulations. I don't think that works with a global internet, but I am open to suggestions.

Can you choose your electric company? I can’t. Also, our electric company wastes money on BS donations and brags about going to full wind energy, no matter how absurd and inefficient that is.
Government can’t manage a 2-car funeral, let alone anything else.

I agree. Been checking in on Gab daily. Rapidly catching up with rapid growth...Gab is almost normal today.
Like many I am shifting priority away from Twitter.
However, Big Tech did form a Trust just like Rockefeller’s Standard Oil.
They should be sued and trust busted. And Parler should enjoy punitive damages.
